Remember when Israel arrested, fed, and gave free transport to Greta Thunberg and her motley crew of virtue signalers who tried to break the blockade of Gaza?
World news. Accusations of abuse (Pallywood-style), world condemnation of Israel for being cruel, inhuman beasts for not allowing commie cosplayers to deliver 4 loaves of bread or so to the not-really-starving Gazans.
It made for great propaganda. Because they made Israel a villain, which is everywhere and always the point for leftists and transnationalists.
A funny thing happened to the latest flotilla, and almost nobody heard about it: the whole thing was stopped off the coast of Libya, its “activists” were “illegally detained,” and a bunch of their companions who were convoying supplies for it were kidnapped and held for “about a month.”
Ah, Hillary Clinton’s Libya. “We came, we saw, he’s dead.” Good times.
Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, gave a crap aside from the flotilla organizers, Amnesty International (sorta), and the poor diplomats who had to figure out how to get them away from the kidnappers.

No Jews, no news. It is always thus. There is a genuine Christian genocide going on in West Africa, where Muslims have been killing and enslaving Christians for years, and nobody cares.

Al Jazeera has done a couple of reports on the non-story because it is their beat. But there have been no vigils, no breathless news coverage, nothing. Same people who were given sandwiches by Israeli soldiers (and, admittedly, mocked by an Israeli minister, which counts as torture in the eyes of people who hate Jews and can’t stand being in their presence), but in this case, being kidnapped and held hostage by Muslims is no biggie.
Four pro-Palestinian campaigners detained in Libya for about a month have been released, the Global Sumud Flotilla group has said.
In a statement on Wednesday, the organisation said Achraf Khoja from Tunisia, Matias Rodriguez from Uruguay, and Domenico Centrone and Leonarda Alberizia, both from Italy, had all arrived in Tunis. Six others are expected to be released in the next 24 hours, it added.
In an earlier statement, Italy’s Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani welcomed the news of the released Italians, saying the two, along with Rodriguez, who has Italian citizenship, were handed over to Italy’s consul in Benghazi. They will return to Italy on Wednesday, he said on X.
More than 400 activists were arrested last month in international waters on board dozens of vessels while sailing towards Gaza to break a siege imposed on the enclave by Israel.
The activists held in Libya were part of a separate group which tried to reach the strip by land. They had staged a hunger strike in protest at their detention, the Global Sumud Flotilla said.
No Jews, no news. Almost literally, nobody cared.
Even as they finally get back some of their own hostages, the Flotilla people are using it to knock Israel. Because Israel is always the issue. The fact that Muslim’s captured and held them is not even mentioned.
I went through the X feed of the flotilla, and they remarkably made the kidnapping of their flotilla members all about the Jews, because of course they did. Sure, they wanted their people back, but remember, whatever happens, it is the JEWS fault.

It is unacceptable that people can be unlawfully kidnapped, whether at sea or on land, simply for trying to reach Gaza to deliver aid to a deliberately starved and besieged people. A people besieged by the same occupation force that has and continues to obliterate Gaza raining terror and bombs and massacring entire families and communities.
It is unacceptable that solidarity expressed as a humanitarian gesture to relieve and reach the people of Gaza, locked up in the world’s largest open air prison as the israeli war machine continues to ravish their lives, is criminalised.
People of all walks of life, throughout the globe, have started a hunger strike in solidarity with the 10 activists kidnapped and held as political hostages for trying to reach the people of Gaza to deliver aid, ambulances and solidarity in a world that only wants to exterminate them.
The crimes committed in Gaza are unacceptable. The criminalization of solidarity of those that refuse to watch and comply is unacceptable.
For our collective liberation, we will not stop.
Support the hunger strikers. Demand their governments to more to ensure their release. The ten political hostages come from the following countries:

Italy
Poland
Portugal
Spain
Tunisia (resident of Canada)
United States
Uruguay
I’m pretty sure they weren’t kidnapped and held hostage by the massive number of Jews in Libya “simply for trying to reach the people of Gaza to deliver aid.” They were kidnapped because Libya is a lawless place, filled with savages. Getting anywhere near it shows your survival instincts rival those of the people who go to Mogadishu for vacation.
Of course, every “journalist” who breathlessly covered the short, uneventful (aside from the Pallywood antics) stay of the prior flotilla activists in Israel knew they were engaged in propaganda theater; we know that not just because the stories were ridiculous, but also, now, we see their total indifference to the actual and very dangerous kidnapping of the same group by Libyans.

It’s all so tiresome. And it’s obvious if you are paying attention.
But of course, most people don’t follow these things, except when the “news” shoves them in our faces. Too much is happening in the world, and we all have lives to live. And that is how the propagandists create The Narrative™. They decide what is news, what we hear about, and the framing of the story. They decide to print or broadcast obvious falsehoods, and most people are oblivious.
Many of us wonder why a lot of smart people around us don’t see the propaganda for what it is; the answer, for many, is simple: they only see what the people who tell us “the news” want them to. It’s a constructed reality, and takes a lot of effort to see through, at least at first. You have to know that you are being fed lies before you see beyond them.
That’s how cons work. And a lot of journalism is a con, feeding people a Narrative. How else does a high-school dropout teen become a world sensation, lecturing us on global warming for years, and now Israel? (Greta was not on this flotilla, at least.)
So…not so long ago, the flotilla was world news, because Israel. Now? Not at all, because Libya.
