▶️Pituffik (existing, northwest): missile warning, missile defense, space surveillance.
▶️New; Narsarsuaq (planned, south): airlift, logistics, access toward the North Atlantic / GIUK.
▶️New; Mestersvig (planned, east): east-coast and Greenland Sea surveillance (air and maritime surveillance) , sovereignty presence, approaches from the Russian Arctic.
Why these two bases? They add what is missing;
◾️A logistics base for rapid troop deployments, resupply, and an airbase

◾️air and maritime surveillance
◾️anti-submarine warfare, unmanned systems,
Narsarsuaq
Narsarsuaq is located near the southern tip of Greenland. It will become a logistics hub for rapidly reinforcing Greenland and the North Atlantic. it has an airport and is well suited for rapid troop deployment, logistics(resupply) and air and maritime surveillance ( especially for ASW warfare by air)
It has ;
◾️Airfield (former air base),~1,830 m runway
◾️Naval Port; Only a small fjord harbor
Meservig
Mestersvig is important for monitoring the eastern coast and the Greenland Sea and Norwegian Sea approaches, where routes from the Russian Arctic converge. It sits on the eastcoast in what is called the Giuk gap ( the Greenland-Iceland-UK zone) that Nato patrols
It has:
◾️Outpost + airstrip with ~1,800 m gravel airstrip
◾️Naval port; No, only fjord access
Together, the two sites would make Greenland not simply NATO territory, but a functional part of the Alliance’s Arctic military network.

The unelected Empress of Europe just got back from bestowing expensive, second-rate satellite service on Greenlanders while promising more monies (!) if everyone behaved themselves, when this announcement came out of the blue to smite her benevolent triumph.
Oh, and what gifts Empress, consummate Bond villainess, and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen bringeth, forsooth.
It’s no coincidence that, while visiting the land of seal stew, caribou, and polar bears, von der Leyen looks convincing as an Ice Queen. There she is, cracking her glittery, brittle, frozen smile as she attempts to evince a more human aspect among her prospective partners, so that they begin to believe they have a friend in her and the Brussels Borg collective.
The beleaguered Danish Prime Minister came along for the ride and to help hand out the monies, all in a big show to fend off the angry Orange Man.
The European Union responded to repeated threats from U.S. President Donald Trump to take over Greenland by reassuring the territory with promises of an enhanced partnership and hundreds of millions of euros in investment.
European officials have turned greater attention toward Greenland since Trump insisted the United States must assume control of the island for security reasons…
And then the Green people and that Danish chick sold her out.
I welcome today’s agreement on strengthening security in the Arctic and North Atlantic.
