Ed: Trump certainly has the focus for midterm messaging in this clip. He needs to stick to this for the next six weeks; everything else can wait until the second week of November. That’s especially true of personal feuds with media outlets. Let’s see if Republican candidates can generate the same focus and message discipline.

CBS News: Three news organizations that President Trump abruptly banished from White House grounds this month asked a federal court to block the ban until the case against it is resolved, saying the administration has “persisted in unpredictably and inconsistently implementing its ban” despite a judge’s restraining order – including selectively barring CNN from White House pool duties.

“The White House’s words and actions leave little doubt that it will immediately reinstitute a complete ban of CNN, MS NOW, and POLITICO if allowed the opportunity,” lawyers for CNN, MS NOW and Politico wrote in a filing late Monday.

“Because the ban is an unlawful assault on the most fundamental First Amendment freedoms and will inflict irreparable harm on Plaintiffs and the public if not restrained, this Court should preliminarily enjoin its enforcement pending the resolution of this case,” the filing said.

It was the latest development in the back-and-forth saga of the Trump administration and the news media during the second term of his presidency. It has been a contentious relationship that has raised multiple First Amendment questions, produced sanctions and restrictions on White House and Pentagon reporters and led to several lawsuits that are winding their ways through the federal court system.

Ed: I don’t think this is a constitutional issue. No one is preventing speech by revoking credentials to the briefing room. However, this is a strange fight to pick just a few weeks before the midterms, creating distractions at the very time that the White House wants people to focus on their achievements. It’s all tactics and poor strategic thinking. It’s also worth noting that our side blasted Barack Obama for pushing Fox News out of the pool.

Ed: It’s not clear how widespread these insurrections are. However, the longer the economic siege continues, the worse it will get for the IRGC. Trump’s refusal to negotiate this week appears to show that he sees this as a long-term project to produce regime collapse rather than just a punitive expedition.

Christopher Tremoglie at the Washington Examiner: President Donald Trump took a bold step against left-wing, liberal bias in the media this month when he prohibited the political publication Politico and cable outlets CNN and MS Now from the White House grounds. The ban, while unquestionably warranted, was predictably short-lived, as Judge Timothy Kelly of the U.S. District Court in Washington ruled against Trump’s directive and ordered the restoration of their White House credentials.

However, Trump doesn’t have to ban these outlets to accomplish his goals; he can just not call on them during press briefings. It would accomplish his overall objective of freezing out the publication and networks, and it would be legal, as there is no known constitutional law that requires the president or his administration to call on representatives from any publication or network. Instead, Trump or any member of his administration can opt to answer questions from journalists only at other media outlets. ….

The media ban was always going to face legal scrutiny and probably be reversed. I would imagine that Trump and his advisers knew that. It would be hard to imagine anyone not expecting it to eventually be overturned. However, all is not necessarily lost. While the courts ordered the outlets to return to the White House, nothing requires Trump or any representative of his administration to call on a network or answer its questions. That is perfectly legal and the strategy to apply.

Karol Markowicz at Fox News: Wearing a pink headband and talking in a sing-songy voice, Ms. Rachel’s “Songs for Littles” is a phenomenon among toddlers. She’s the new Mr. Rogers, according to some, a safe place to park your children while you do the dishes or laundry.

The reality is that Rachel Griffin Accurso, who plays the character of Ms. Rachel, should not be trusted with your kids.

She’s become a prominent anti-Israel activist, but that’s just one part of her overall political messaging. If you’re letting your child watch Ms. Rachel because her anti-Israel comments don’t bother you, it’s important to understand that those comments are part of a larger grouping of far-left opinions.

Accurso describes herself as a devout Christian but often uses it as cover to promote her far-left opinions. While she falsely describes what is happening in Gaza as a “genocide” and pushes what critics say are debunked stories such as mass starvation in Gaza, she also opposes ICE, supports reparations for the descendants of slaves and opposes the very existence of billionaires.

Ed: It’s not enough that entertainment-industry celebrities groom their own children into the Left’s current fads and social panics. They want to groom your kids into it as well.

CBS News: The FBI and the Dutch National Police jointly arrested a suspected member of the notorious cyber group ShinyHunters on Tuesday, a week after the group claimed responsibility for defacing the FBI’s jobs website and bragged that it had stolen data about FBI personnel and job applicants.





In a post on X, FBI Director Kash Patel did not identify the individual who was arrested, but referred to the person as “one of the alleged leaders” of the organization. “As we speak FBI teams are actively working with partners to obtain and execute more leads in the ongoing investigation based on this arrest,” Patel wrote.

The FBI said in a statement that it is “working around the clock to investigate the cyber incident involving FBIJobs.gov and is in regular communication with anyone who may be impacted — including multiple Bureau wide communications within 24 hours of public reporting.” The FBI also said that the investigation is ongoing.

Ed: Worth noting for the speed in which the FO followed the FA. Usually, these hackers evade arrest and prosecution, especially while overseas. Of course, it’s also notable for the security failure of the hack itself, but the follow-through by the FBI is impressive.

Ed: You’d think that the editor of Charlie Hebdo would have a better sense of perspective on which religion represents the bigger threat in French politics, and for that matter, in French culture. Disappointing, but not surprising from European elitists.

Senate Judiciary Committee: Thousands of Americans across all 50 states, as well as Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico, who donated as little as $1 to President Trump and Trump-aligned Republican entities had their checks secretly subpoenaed by Special Counsel Jack Smith and his team.

Records provided to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) via legally protected whistleblower disclosures reveal Smith’s team acquired at least 4,782 checks from Americans who made mainly small-dollar donations to President Trump between September 2019 to August 2023. The checks reveal the donors’ home addresses, bank account and routing numbers, and signatures.





Smith’s team acquired the checks as part of its “Arctic Frost” election case against President Trump, allowing the Biden Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to gain access to nearly 5,000 Americans’ highly sensitive information, including 42 Iowans. There may be additional subpoena returns that include more donor checks.

Ed: The more we dig into Merrick Garland’s DoJ, the clearer it becomes that the Biden Regency fully weaponized it to threaten and intimidate their political opposition. Jack Smith appears to have been a very significant part of that effort. This is outrageous, but don’t expect the Protection Racket Media to cover it. Beege wrote about this earlier today, so be sure to catch up on the full story there.

The magazine says it has covered men’s fashion for decades, from a 1971 story asking whether men would wear high heels to a 1996 profile of male supermodels, but it has never devoted an entire special issue to the subject.

For the debut, photographers held a fashion shoot where, as the magazine puts it, the male stars were wearing “some fashion, but hardly any.”

Ed: So for its first-ever issue dedicated to “men’s style,” New York Mag chose a topless woman in nondescript jeans for its cover. This is sad in many different ways, not only for the young woman who mangled herself in response to her psychological and emotional struggles, but also for those who think Page should influence others.

Fox News: New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani unveiled a plan last week to give away 70,000 free tickets to the Metropolitan Opera House, firing up critics on social media who argue there are more pressing issues facing New Yorkers.

“Opera for All,” a partnership between the city and the Metropolitan Opera at Lincoln Center, will allow New Yorkers who have never attended a performance to enter a monthly lottery for tickets to productions ranging from Macbeth to La Bohème, according to a press release from the mayor’s office.





A spokesperson for Mamdani’s office told Fox News Digital the city is not paying for the program. The Metropolitan Opera is donating tickets from its pool of unsold seats, representing about 10% of its seasonal capacity, while the city will help promote and distribute them.

In a video announcing the latest giveaway, Mamdani appeared alongside the cast of La Bohème, telling viewers that “every New Yorker should have the opportunity to see this no matter how much money is in their pocket.”

Ed: Meh. It doesn’t cost taxpayers any money, empty seats get filled, and a few more people get entertained. There are many more pressing issues in the Big Apple, especially Mamdani’s governance of it, but this seems pretty benign. It’s the kind of feel-good triviality that politicians are good at executing.

Ed: Kudos to Hostin. Perhaps she’s hoping to escape the heat from her fabulism last week about being a holdout juror?

Politico: The Supreme Court is allowing President Donald Trump, for now, to resume his efforts to speed up deportations of foreigners to countries where they have no connections, but the court said it will hear arguments on the legal issues involved later this year.

In a brief order Tuesday, the high court granted the administration’s emergency appeal seeking a pause on a federal judge’s ruling that blocked key aspects of Trump’s plan, concluding that it violated deportees’ rights by denying them consideration of the dangers they could face at their destinations.

Ed: I may write more about this tomorrow, but worth noting for now. The court will take the case up in its new term on the merits.

This is an unconscionable assault on the free press and a brazen violation of First and Fourth Amendment protections, and we are exploring all legal options for holding corrupt cop and Biden thug Jack Smith accountable for his actions.

Ed: Indeed it is, and we’ll see whether the butthurt plaintiffs in the lawsuit against the White House cover this real attempt to shut down reporters. Don’t hold your breath.
