Who Is Erika Kirk? – PJ Media

Millions of Americans this morning are in awe of the grace and composure that Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, showed on last night when she gave her address to the nation. Sarah Anderson has full details on that unprecedented event here.

Who could imagine standing up and giving such an address to the American people just days after her 31-year-old husband was murdered in public? After her husband was assassinated before thousands of people, and then that murder was spread throughout the world on the internet, only to be greeted by a disgraceful number of leftists actually celebrating such a barbaric act?

And yet she rose above it in ways most cannot contemplate. When Erika delivered her tearful remarks, she made sure to find a way to give hope to anyone who was watching and listening with an open heart and an open mind. She also made sure to give Charlie’s supporters a sense that his mission is not over. She said:

“If you thought that my husband’s mission was powerful before, you have no idea. You have no idea what you just have unleashed across this entire country and this world. You have no idea. You have no idea the fire that you have ignited within this wife. To everyone listening tonight across America, the movement my husband built will not die. It won’t. I refuse to let that happen. It will not die. All of us will refuse to let that happen. No one will ever forget my husband’s name, and I will make sure of it. It will become stronger, bolder, louder, and greater than ever.”

She said that the work of Turning Point USA will not be stopped by Charlie’s death, and even that Charlie’s radio show will continue in some form.

Erika’s bold and unapologetic resolve is palpable. This is leadership. This is strength.

Who is Erika Kirk

In addition to being Charlie’s partner for life, she is the mother of his two children, a three-year-old daughter, and a one-year-old son.

She’s 36 years old and was raised in the Phoenix, Arizona area. She won the Miss Arizona USA crown in 2012. And she runs Proclaim, which is a Christian clothing line. She runs a ministry called “Biblein365,” which enables users to access Bible scripture on a daily basis. And she’s the host of a podcast called the “Midweek Rise Up.”

Erika and Charlie were married in 2021. They met in 2018

Before meeting Charlie she had already founded a nonprofit organization called Everyday Heroes Like You

She played basketball at Regis University. She went on to graduate from Arizona State University, majoring in political science and international relations. After that, she earned a Juris Master degree American Legal Studies from Liberty University, and as of this week, she was working toward her Doctorate in Bible Studies at the same school.

Erika’s resume suggests that if anyone is suited to continue to build on what she and Charlie have started, it’s her. But resumes are one thing, the ability to capture the imagination of the people is quite another. This is something Charlie was known for. It’s now something Erika has demonstrated: she is more than up to the task.

Steve Bannon posted online that “Erika Kirk just gave one of the most powerful set of remarks I have ever heard anywhere – simple, direct, unrelenting – an incredible reminder of the Spirit that emanates from Turning Point because of Charlie and Erika Kirk.”

A poster called C3 expressed something that many did after Erika’s speech last night, saying simply, “We are all Erika Kirk right now.”

Stephen Miller posted on X that “Erika Kirk’s awe-inspiring strength, resilience and determination in the face of unimaginable grief is a testament that will endure and inspire through the ages.”

Journalist and author Salena Zito posted on the X platform, “The Grace here is remarkable. I truly don’t think that people in my profession or DC politicos have any understanding the impact the brutal murder of Charlie Kirk has had on a broad swath of Americans, in particular young people.”

Last night, Erika found a way to give America something it may not have known it needed, but it now knows it has. A new warrior for the good, for the American people, and hope for everyone who are being targeted simply for wanting a better country.
