US Should Embrace Decline – HotAir

The new rallying cry of the so-called “woke right” is that America should cede power to Russia and China.

It’s an odd take for people who consider themselves America First, but it appears to be based on a growing belief that the West has been a force for evil in the world and needs to be taken down a peg or three. And, it seems, the West is so evil at least partly because it is run by the Jews.

Tucker has been arguing that the Nazis weren’t so bad—certainly not as bad as Churchill, and that World War II was unnecessary and even evil. Russia should be one of our greatest allies, and that the United States should abandon Taiwan and allow China to set the terms of trade and the power dynamics in Asia.

Tucker doesn’t believe that Islamic terrorism is a real thing—it is invented by Israel, and he has spread the rumor that Israel was committing false flag attacks in the Middle East—a claim denied by the governments of the countries where those attacks were supposed to take place.

Tucker’s hostility to the West has been growing for some time now. He has argued that feudalism was a far better system than capitalism and liberal democracy, and is now celebrating actual Nazis

Tucker Carlson disgustingly defends 1930s British fascist Oswald Mosley – who was so aligned with the Nazis that he married at Joseph Goebbels’ house in Berlin, with Adolf Hitler as a guest – even calling him “patriotic.”

Carlson claimed Mosley’s “only crime was being the opposition” to Churchill, and that this is why he was arrested during World War II.

To be clear: Mosley was a full-blown fascist. He received financial support from Mussolini, maintained close ties to Nazi Germany, and led the British Union of Fascists’ Blackshirts – a paramilitary-style group inspired by Mussolini’s movement, known for violence and for targeting Jewish communities.

Mosley had previously served as a Member of Parliament from 1918 to 1931, initially as a Conservative and later as a Labour MP. However, after founding the British Union of Fascists in 1932 and embracing fascism, he was never again electorally viable or close to holding office.

He was detained in 1940 under Defence Regulation 18B because the British government considered him a security risk with sympathies toward enemy powers – not because he was a credible political opponent.

For Carlson to portray Mosley – an outspoken, Hitler-admiring fascist – as a war hero (which Tucker exaggerates), and to claim he was persecuted purely for political reasons, is deeply disturbing.

The question has to be asked: does Tucker Carlson despise Churchill so much that he’s willing to defend a Nazi-aligned fascist like Mosley – or does he genuinely believe a Nazi-aligned fascist like Mosley was a patriot?

Tucker’s podcast is now regularly broadcast in Tehran on the Iranian state television station because his critiques of Israel align with theirs. The Tuckersphere, which includes Candace Owens, comic Dave Smith, and now Megyn Kelly, are whitewashing anti-American regimes that have made no effort to hide their hostility to  America and their desire to kill Americans, including American government officials and the president himself.

The Iranians don’t deny that Donald Trump is an assassination target, and the Russians and Chinese are directly supporting the war effort against us. They don’t even deny it, and while I understand why they do it and can justify it from their own perspective, that perspective is based on their hostility to America itself.

Tucker seems to think we deserve it.

If you haven’t been NOTICING this about Tucker Carlson, then you should by now. This is a mask slip moment.

What he’s touting here is multipolarity, which is nothing more than a politically correct way to say American decline.

The Chinese Communist Party has been chanting the exact same tune for years – a “peaceful rise,” a “multipolar world order,” and “shared power” with America. They couch it in such docile language knowing full well what it means – the slow erosion of American primacy while they build up their military capacity, steal tech, and dominate global supply chains.

Furthermore, Pax Sinica (a Chinese-led world order) and Pax America are fundamentally incompatible and mutually exclusive. They are antithetical systems. One cannot expand without shrinking the other.

Beijing explicitly views the current US-led order as “an unfair constraint to its rise” and wants to replace its norms with its own. Indeed it has violated many of these terms that defined the Post WWII order and the US, until Trump came along, did nothing in response to these violations. These include trade violations, territorial claims in the South China Sea, sketchy dual-use operations and tech, etc.

Multipolarity or “sharing power” is not a peaceful compromise – it’s the transition phase between one Pax and the next.

The CCP has never hidden that it wants a China-led order. The United States (until recently) never hid that it intends to preserve the one it built.

These two peaces cannot coexist any more than Pax Britannica and Pax Germania could have co-ruled Europe in 1914.

That’s why “multipolarity” is just Western declinism with better branding. America First isn’t about imperialism. It’s about refusing to live under rules and norms written in Beijing.

Tucker has shown he’s not America First.

If America gives up control over the seas and the financial system, we don’t just become one of three countries in a triumvirate; we lose our leverage to ensure that America remains prosperous. We become far more vulnerable to economic retaliation for stepping out of line with our adversaries’ desires.

Tucker seems quite aligned with the transnationalists now, not the Trump-style “America First” policies he used to promote. That is true of the entire woke-right podcast sphere.

It’s hard to imagine how the Iranians, the Russians, or the Chinese Communists could find a more effective propagandist than Tucker and his cronies. They defend Iran and all our adversaries, claim that the Jews run our country, and even appear to want Iran to win its war with the US.

With the end goal of seeing American hegemony decline.

Editor’s Note: For decades, former presidents have been all talk and no action. Now, Donald Trump is eliminating the threat from Iran once and for all.
