Trump’s Approval Rating Hits 51% in New Poll

A new poll finds that a majority of Americans approve of the job President Donald Trump is doing.

A majority of respondents (51%) said they “strongly approve” (30%) or “somewhat approve” (21%) of the job Trump is doing, according to the Napolitan News Service.

Meanwhile, 35% said they “strongly disapprove,” while another 11% said they “somewhat disapprove,” and 2% selected the answer, “not sure.”

Napolitan News Service surveyed 3,000 people between May 27 and June 3. The poll’s margin of error is plus/minus 1.8 percentage points.

Trump’s 51% approval rating marks the highest figure in the Napolitan poll since early May. His net approval rating of 5%, however, marks the highest figure since March.

The poll reveals a consistent gender gap. Napolitan News Service finds that men still favor Trump at a higher percentage than women, who are more evenly divided in political preferences.

Over half of men (58%) approve of Trump’s performance as president. The female response trailed by just over ten percentage points, with 46% of women reporting approval.

Now more than 130 days into his administration, Trump has championed a budget reconciliation package dubbed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, to codify large swaths of his agenda. The bill extends the tax cuts Trump signed in his first term, rebuilds the American military, and drastically increases funding for immigration enforcement.

Other Napolitan polls found that a majority of Americans support key policies and ideas in the bill.
