Trump Rips Away Temporary Protected Status for Somalis – HotAir

Good, but I am afraid it is far too late to accomplish the task that was necessary.

Somewhere around 300,000 Somalis are in the United States as of now, and many have already been given green cards or even US citizenship over the years.

It is, I am afraid, not over at all. Trump’s move is welcome, of course, but as with so many steps necessary to clean up the mess created by far-too-liberal policies over the years, it is much more difficult to fix a problem that is eating away at the foundation of our society than to prevent the damage in the first place.

That’s why Ilhan Omar, who has been at the center of multi-billion-dollar fraud schemes and, of course, a rapid takeover of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, is crowing about how the Somalis have beaten the system.

Omar, we all know, is proud to be he DFL Representative of Somalia, and has traveled to that country many times (remember that she was a “refugee” who was driven out of the country, right?) to proclaim her allegiance to that country over America, and who regularly says the same to her Somali constituents in the Somali language.

The majority of the corruption that has been exposed in Minnesota is driven by the Somalis, who have corrupted every aspect of our social insurance system. Coming from a low-trust society where the way to get ahead is to seize government power (Omar’s father had been a minister in the Somali Communist government that got overthrown, leading to her initial refugee status), it is natural for Somalis who have settled here to use the same tactics to get ahead.

High-trust societies have no natural defenses against the tactics they use.

Minnesotans who have paid attention, who are all too few because the Pravda Media has not caught up to the reality, learned long ago that our system is collapsing under the weight of fraud. Nobody in the Minnesota government was willing to take it on, aside from a few brave legislators and outsiders who have endured endless accusations of racism.

Suddenly, it is a thing we can talk about. And, far too late, Trump is taking it on. It’s hard to blame Trump because, until it becomes a serious issue, nobody at his level even hears about it. The states are in charge of implementing welfare programs, after all.

So here we are. A few hundred Somalis will be sent back to Somalia…maybe. While hundreds of thousands who are participating in the systematic looting of our system and taking over local politics in Minnesota will get to stay.

It is dispiriting. We haven’t “won.” The damage will continue to be done.
