OPINION:
After the Biden-Harris administration left Americans drowning in inflation, insecurity and incompetence, President Trump is rebuilding the country with the bold, pro-American leadership we were missing for four long years.
In just a few short months, Mr. Trump has done what President Biden never could: restore economic confidence, reignite job growth and reassert control over a nation that had slipped into crisis. The April jobs report, which blew past Wall Street expectations, was good news for the stock market and a clear signal that the era of “Bidenomics” is finally ending.
Wages are rising, and 177,000 new jobs have been created. Labor force participation is up. This is happening despite the media’s predictions of collapse under Mr. Trump’s tariffs and federal restructuring efforts. Why? Because markets respond to strength. Employers respond to certainty, and the American people respond to results.
Let’s not forget what Mr. Trump inherited, again. Four years of Biden-Harris mismanagement left our country with soaring inflation and declining real wages, record-breaking illegal immigration because of open-border policies, a failed “Build Back Better” agenda that built nothing but government debt, a shrinking middle class and collapsing consumer confidence, and foreign criminal gangs such as MS-13 and Tren de Aragua embedded in U.S. cities.
Mr. Trump hasn’t just reversed those trends; he has obliterated them. The drop in illegal immigration, more than 90% in key border sectors, is not an accident. It is the product of renewed enforcement, tough deterrence and returning to the “America First” doctrine of putting citizens before cartels.
Unlike the Biden-Harris administration, which coddled criminal illegal aliens and claimed “compassion” while Americans died in sanctuary cities, the Trump administration is actively rounding up and deporting the worst of the worst.
Members of MS-13, Tren de Aragua and other violent transnational gangs are being tracked, arrested and removed with speed and precision. Mr. Trump’s message is clear: If you come here to harm Americans, you will not stay here.
Meanwhile, his economic message is resonating across every sector. Transportation and warehousing added 29,000 jobs last month, indicating confidence and activity. Health care added 51,000. Even construction is bouncing back. As for Wall Street? The Dow, S&P 500 and Nasdaq surged in response to the jobs report, clearly signaling that real leadership is back in charge.
This kind of momentum doesn’t come from slogans or speeches. It comes from action: restoring pro-growth policies, unleashing American energy, and demanding accountability from Washington insiders who have failed working families for decades.
Mr. Trump is rebuilding not just from the wreckage of Mr. Biden’s term but also from decades of bipartisan failure that prioritized globalization, bureaucracy and weakness over American jobs, American safety and American families.
We know the media won’t give him credit. They didn’t when he crushed ISIS, signed the most significant criminal justice reform in a generation or delivered the lowest Hispanic unemployment rate in history.
The numbers don’t lie, the people know, and the results are just getting started.
Mr. Trump is proving that America doesn’t need to settle for decline. We can rise again, and we are.
