President Trump boasted Wednesday that he has raised more than $1.5 billion since winning the election last year.
“I am pleased to report that I have raised since the great presidential election of 2024 in various forms and political entities, in excess of 1.5 billion dollars. Make America Great Again!!! President DJT,” he posted on Truth Social.
Mr. Trump’s announcement comes after his super PAC, MAGA Inc., shattered fundraising records last month. The group announced it raised $176.9 million in the first six months of 2025 and ended June 2025 with nearly $200 million cash on hand.
The fundraising haul could help boost Republican candidates running for Congress in the 2026 midterm elections. Much of the money that has flowed into MAGA Inc has come from tech billionaires.
In addition, the Republican National Committee’s fundraising levels through the first two quarters of 2025 have more than doubled. Democrats have struggled to keep up.
The RNC has $80 million in cash on hand according to recent Federal Election Commission filings, compared to $15 million for Democrats.
Mr. Trump’s ability to raise funds has exceeded some of his recent predecessors. For example, Priorities USA, a super PAC that supported President Barack Obama, had raised just $356,000 during the first six months of his second term and had roughly $3 million in reserves.
