Truck fire on Missouri highway cooks 40,000 steaks past well done

A semitruck caught fire on Interstate 44 in Doolittle, Missouri, Monday, burning its load of steaks to a crisp.

Video posted by the Doolittle Rural Fire Protection District on social media shows the middle of the truck engulfed in flames.

The truck was carrying 40,000 ribeye steaks, which were a “total loss,” fire officials said.

The fire district didn’t say what caused the fire and didn’t mention injuries to the truck’s driver or passersby on the road.

The blaze was the eighth vehicle fire the Doolittle fire district has dealt with in the past three weeks, officials said.
