RFK Jr. to have rotator cuff surgery

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will undergo rotator cuff surgery Tuesday.

Mr. Kennedy will reportedly return to the office next Monday.

National Review first reported on Mr. Kennedy’s surgery. The Washington Times has reached out to HHS for comment.

Rotator cuff injuries can be caused by age, falls that result in landing with your arm in certain positions, or repeated lifts of heavy objects. Surgery is performed when other treatments have not worked to stop pain.

Mr. Kennedy, 72, is the face of the Make America Healthy Again movement. He actively pushes for Americans to exercise and had made several workout videos with other Cabinet members and celebrities.

Last year, Mr. Kennedy and Defense Department Secretary Pete Hegseth joined service members in a fitness challenge, where participants competed to complete 50 pullups and 100 pushups in 10 minutes or less.

The HHS secretary also participated in a pull-up competition with Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy in December.

Last month, he posted a video of himself and singer Kid Rock exercising together shirtless.

“I’ve teamed up with @KidRock to deliver two simple messages to the American people: Get active + eat real food.”
