Our Education Schools Are Churning Out Hateful People, and He Is One of the Reasons Why – HotAir

A lot of people have noticed that a disproportionate number of teachers have been celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

If you haven’t been following the disastrous state of our public schools and figured out how ideologically captured they are, this might surprise you.

It shouldn’t. Our public schools are at least as corrupt as our universities, and that is largely because our universities train our school teachers.

Every time you hear a teacher denigrate parents and demand that we defer to their expertise, remember where they acquired that “expertise.”

The University of Michigan’s School of Education is but one example of this phenomenon

A University of Michigan professor whose research has been funded by the Gates Foundation and Harvard University defended the assassination of Charlie Kirk, asserting the conservative activist spread hate speech and “should not be mourned or celebrated.”

Charles H.F. Davis III, who teaches at the University of Michigan’s Center for the Study of Higher and Postsecondary Education, called Kirk’s killing a “solution” to what he asserted are the “violent conditions and violent rhetoric spewed by empowered people that create them.”

“Charlie Kirk is not a martyr,” Davis wrote. Kirk, a 31-year-old husband and father of two, was assassinated while speaking at Utah Valley University on Wednesday during a nationwide campus tour for Kirk’s group, Turning Point USA.

He really DID call killing Kirk a “solution.” He should have used the term “Final Solution,” because that is what he meant.

Davis is a major recipient of grant funds from the Gates Foundation, which may want to reconsider its association with him.

You can https://marsal.umich.edu/directory/faculty-staff/charles-hf-davis-iiiimagine what he teaches without my telling you, can’t you?

Dr. Charles H.F. Davis III is an Assistant Professor in the Center for the Study of Higher and Postsecondary Education. His current research and teaching broadly focus on issues race and racism, systems of oppression, and structures of domination in U.S. higher education and its social contexts. In particular, his current ethnographic work uses traditional and visual methods to explore how Black campus and community activists build and exercise political power to drive social and institutional change. He has received funding support from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Lumina Foundation, Spencer Foundation, the National Academy of Education, and the National Center for Institutional Diversity.

Yep. You already knew. How could you not? It is so predictable. Mr. Love and kindness, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, is all about “solutions” through activism.

So what does the University of Michigan think of its fine educator who prepares the next generation of teachers for our public schools?

A spokeswoman for the University of Michigan said the school does not take a position on Davis’s comments.

“In accordance with the university’s Institutional Neutrality policy, the university does not take positions on matters not directly connected to university governance. Faculty members are free to speak and debate issues of the day; but, to be clear, those individual expressions do not represent the views of the university,” Kay Jarvis, the director of the university’s office of public affairs, told the Washington Free Beacon.

Davis, who teaches courses on “Anti-Racism” at the University of Michigan, has worked at the school since 2020. He founded the Campus Abolition Research Lab that same year to “disrupt and dismantle the carceral university” and create “police-free futures.” That initiative came under scrutiny in 2023 after two shootings and five sex crimes occurred at the school, the Free Beacon reported.

The University of Michigan is all about free speech after all. Always has been.

There are countless posts online from “educators” who have celebrated Charlie Kirk’s death, and I have posted enough already.

It’s not just because they are liberal–it’s because they have gone through years of indoctrination from fine men and women who think like Dr. Charles H.F. Davis III.

Our credentialed class is, for the most part, trash. And the closer you get to the liberal arts, the worse it becomes. There is a sickness that has infected our academic institutions, and the only solution is to strangle their funding and build up new, parallel institutions.
