A Justin Bieber doppelganger is banned from the XS nightclub at the Wynn Las Vegas resort after he got on stage and performed as if he were the pop star and also racked up a bar tab in the thousands.
On Saturday, Daniel Griffith, professional alias DJ Gryffin was playing the club when the fake Bieber and his accomplices told the DJ that “Bieber” wanted to perform, the disc jockey explained in a video on Instagram.
The fake Bieber, real name Dylan Desclos, performed for 4 minutes and 27 seconds with the DJ unawares.
Wynn spokesperson Michael Weaver told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that “after an elaborate and multi-step ruse by him and his advance team, a Justin Bieber impersonator was granted access to the XS stage. As soon as the error was recognized, he was removed from the resort and denied future entry.”
After being informed that the star was in fact a fraud and going back to his hotel, Mr. Griffith said that “I kind of thought like, ’damn, he’s put on a lot of weight since the album dropped,’” referring to the Canadian pop star’s album “Swag” which was released last month.
According to the New York Post, Mr. Desclos wrote in a now-deleted TikTok post that “it wasn’t me who pretended to be the real Justin, it was my team who was behind it. Well, clearly I was the one who passed but I always say I’m the lookalike.”
Mr. Desclos and his team also racked up a bar tab worth almost $10,000 during their time in XS; the tab was paid off before resort staff escorted Mr. Desclos off the premises, according to the Review-Journal.
