Democrats push ‘free stuff’ agenda as welfare dependency and mass immigration threaten America

The Democrats’ “free stuff army” has stopped growing, just in time. Maybe.

At some point, if tax eaters outnumber taxpayers, the whole thing will come crashing down.

That is the actual Cloward-Piven Strategy concocted by Marxist academics Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven back in 1966. Their hope was that a socialist government would pick up the pieces and destroy capitalism.

Anyway, the border is now secure under President Trump after four years of President Biden’s policies allowing an estimated 6 million to 10 million migrants to enter the United States illegally and get on the dole.

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, 24,628 encounters and apprehensions were reported nationwide in July. It was the lowest recorded monthly total in U.S. history and 90% lower than in July 2023, when 245,154 encounters were recorded.

The Democrats’ plan all along has been to import millions of illegal aliens, get them hooked on welfare, free housing and medical care and eventually turn them into voters.

This stuff also is happening in Europe. Some countries, such as Britain, Belgium and the Netherlands, are on the brink of having their Judeo-Christian-based cultures erased.

Although the media scoff at “replacement theory,” by which a native population is supplanted by newcomers dependent on government largesse, nothing could be clearer in Europe or the United States.

Zohran Mamdani, the socialist Muslim Democratic nominee for mayor of New York City, is promising government-owned grocery stores, free public transit and other goodies. A self-described democratic socialist, Mr. Mamdani used the communist phrase “seizing the means of production” during a livestreamed conference of the Young Democratic Socialists of America in 2021.

The charismatic young Bolshevik, whose party ignited the ruinous inflation and high taxes that have priced young people out of the Big Apple, is counting on college-indoctrinated voters to give him the keys to Gracie Mansion.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the New York congresswoman leading the 2028 Democratic presidential pack, backs him, as does avowed socialist Sen. Bernard Sanders, the Vermont independent who caucuses with Democrats.

Nationally, Democrats are trying to arouse their free stuff army by accusing Republicans of cutting Medicaid for qualified recipients, a charge easily disproved.

The One Big Beautiful Bill Act, enacted in July without any Democratic support, exempts most current recipients. However, it does require able-bodied adults to provide proof of some work. Here’s one way to look at it: Democrats want to subsidize healthy young men who will not work, with taxes extracted from those who will.

Democrats have also engineered the inclusion of illegal immigrants in the U.S. census to determine congressional districts. This waters down the voting power of actual citizens. Mr. Trump has vowed to end this corrupt practice.

It’s no secret that both parties have been engaged in redistricting high jinks for the past 200 years.

In Texas, Republicans hold 25 of 38 congressional seats. Democrats are assailing the Republican redistricting plan approved last week by the state Senate to ensure five more Republican members of Congress. Democratic state House members cried “Gerrymander!” and some fled the state, denying a quorum for final approval.

Without a hint of irony, the Texas absentees were feted in heavily gerrymandered Democratic states.

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker welcomed the Texas runaways to his state, where Democrats account for 37.7% of voter registrations yet hold 14 out of 17 congressional seats and 78 out of 118 state House seats.

In California, 25% of voters are registered Republicans, yet the state has only nine Republican members of Congress out of 52 seats.

Democrats, who account for 46.2% of registered voters, hold 83% of the state’s congressional seats, plus the two U.S. Senate seats.

Nonetheless, Gov. Gavin Newsom is calling for a Nov. 4 special election to allow Democrats to further rig the state election map. “Donald Trump: It’s time to call [Gov.] Greg Abbott and tell him to stand down. You are not ‘entitled’ to 5 congressional seats,” Mr. Newsom wrote in an X post. “If you do not call your lapdogs off, CA will act quickly and swiftly. … We will not stand by while you light Democracy on fire.”

Why not go ahead and make it harder for California Republicans to cast any votes at all? The party of Jim Crow is superb at creating novel voting requirements to weed out undesirables. They can call it “saving democracy.”

In Massachusetts — where 26% of voters are registered Democrats, 8.4% are registered Republicans and 65% are unaffiliated — the congressional delegation has 10 Democrats and zero Republicans. In New Jersey, where Mr. Trump got 46% of the vote in 2024, only three of the state’s 12 members of Congress are Republicans.

In Maryland, Democrats in 2011 split the western 6th District, where Republican Rep. Roscoe Bartlett typically won by 60% or more, including in 2010. Ever since, it has been won by Democrats (surprise!) who now threaten to redraw the last Maryland Republican seat, Rep. Andy Harris’ Eastern Shore district.

Many Democratic-run states are battling crime waves, budget deficits and outbound migration of residents fed up with the advance of the free stuff army, high taxes, climate extremism and transgender insanity.

If not for gerrymandering, they might have gone Republican by now or at least become politically competitive.
