
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said that Tuesday would mark the most intense phase of the U.S.-Israeli air campaign against Iran and that “the last 24 hours have seen Iran fire the lowest amount of missiles they have fired yet” in the 11-day war.
Mr. Hegseth told reporters at the Pentagon that there’s no danger of “mission creep,” saying the military is focused on President Trump’s original mission: to knock out Iran’s ballistic missile capabilities, destroy its navy, and eliminate the Islamic republic’s nuclear ambitions.”
