Chinese Air Force Base Bombers Were Birthright Citizens, Parents Are Illegal Aliens – PJ Media

The Chinese-American siblings who tried to bomb MacDill Air Force Base are the children of illegal aliens, and therefore “birthright citizens.” Immigration authorities have arrested the alien parents, who were living in the United States, despite their illegal status, after having children who were automatically considered citizens. This comes at a crucial moment, as the U.S. Supreme Court considers whether to affirm or reject this outrageous system of allowing any child born in the U.S. to be a citizen.

Firstly, the Fourteenth Amendment absolutely does not refer to every single person born within American borders. Not only does the amendment say “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof,” but we know the framers did not have the modern Democrat view, because Native American Indians did not receive citizenship through the amendment, despite having been born on U.S. land, because they were not considered as directly subject to U.S. jurisdiction. In the modern era, the warped notion of “birthright citizenship” has created the phenomena of “anchor babies” and birth tourism, whereby dangerous foreign nationals can have children who will vote in American elections and freely move about the country, despite being loyal/subject to a foreign power. That includes the MacDill terrorists.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced on April 3 that ICE had arrested Ann Mary Zheng and Alen Zheng’s parents, who are illegal aliens. Alen planted an improvised explosive device near the visitor center of MacDill Air Force Base — CENTCOM headquarters — in Florida, which fortunately did not explode, and his sister helped him cover up and destroy evidence before they fled the country. Ann Mary returned to America and is now under arrest, but Alen remains in China. It is very obvious that the siblings were loyal to their parents’ country of Communist China, rather than to the United States, where they were born.

Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis insisted, “Automatically granting citizenship to children of illegal aliens born in the U.S. is based on a historically inaccurate interpretation of the Citizenship Clause and poses a major national security risk. That reality became apparent last week when two U.S.-born children of Chinese illegal aliens were indicted for planting a potentially deadly explosive device outside MacDill Air Force Base in Florida. This incident underscores the severe national security threat that illegal immigration and birth right citizenship pose to the United States.”

In oral arguments about birthright citizenship this week at SCOTUS, Justice Sam Alito pointed out that a son born in the United States to an Iranian father would automatically be subject to required military service in Iran while also, under our current system, having U.S. citizenship. Alito said other countries have similar rules about jurisdiction over children of their citizens, including China and Mexico.

As of 2030, a million Chinese Communists, raised largely in that country and indoctrinated into its ideology, will be able to vote in American elections, thanks to “birth tourism.” Unvetted foreign nationals such as the Zhengs’ parents can walk or fly across our border, have anchor babies, and stay for years, sometimes even bringing over other family members on the strength of their children being citizens. This atrocious and dangerous system needs to end.
