Celine Dion is preparing a return to the touring stage after battling a life-altering medical condition that causes severe muscle spasms, multiple news outlets report.
Ms. Dion is expected to perform shows about twice a week during September and October at Paris La Défense Arena, Europe’s largest indoor venue.
The schedule was designed to give her adequate rest in the event of flare-ups from her rare neurological condition — stiff person’s syndrome.
Sources close to Ms. Dion have said her condition remains under control for now, but it’s not known for certain whether she can sustain twice-weekly performances.
After her Courage World Tour was cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she never resumed due to her declining health.
Ms. Dion last performed at the July 2024 opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she sang Edith Piaf’s “L’Hymne a l’amour” from the first floor of the Eiffel Tower.
A public announcement and ticket sales are expected to launch soon.
