Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Law Enforcement personnel helped get a bear out of a home last week after the bear fell through a ceiling onto a stovetop.
KFWLE Game Warden Derick Creech was called out to the Bell County, Kentucky, residence, the agency said on social media. Mr. Creech and a Bell County Sheriff’s Department deputy got the bear to leave through a door of the house.
The bear, KFWLE said, had climbed a ladder and then climbed through a narrow opening into the house’s attic before falling into the kitchen. It narrowly missed falling onto one of the home’s residents.
“It almost fell on my mom when it came through the ceiling. They tried to open the kitchen door but the bear would come at them when they did so. My uncle managed to get the door open after about 2 hours … Everyone is OK, just shook up,” the daughter of the homeowner, who did not provide a name, told WATE-TV.
