Best food and drink deals to celebrate the holiday

St. Patrick’s Day falls on Tuesday, and restaurants and chains across the country are marking the occasion with discounts, freebies and limited-time menu items. More than one-third of consumers plan to celebrate the holiday this year, according to research firm Numerator, which surveyed more than 5,300 U.S. consumers in January 2026. Here’s where to save some green. 

Free food and drinks

Krispy Kreme is offering one free Green O’riginal Glazed doughnut to customers who visit wearing green — no purchase necessary, good in-shop or drive-thru. Krispy Kreme is also randomly selecting 4,000 guests to win a “Lucky You Golden Dozen Pass,” good for one dozen Original Glazed doughnuts per month from April 2026 through March 2027.

Good Times Burgers & Frozen Custard is giving away a free scoop of Irish Cream Frozen Custard to customers who wear green on Tuesday — no purchase required, limit one per customer.

California Tortilla is offering a free small order of chips and queso, chips and salsa, or chips on Tuesday. Dining-in customers can say the secret password “Lucky Cheese” at checkout; online and app orders can use the code LUCKYCHEESE.

Deals for loyalty members

Burger King’s Royal Perks loyalty members can get a large order of onion rings for $2 through the BK app or bk.com.

Outback Steakhouse is offering a Bloomin’ Onion and a 16-ounce domestic draft beer or Coca-Cola for $10 at participating U.S. locations, just mention the “$10 Bloom and Beverage” deal to your server.

Del Taco’s Del Yeah! Rewards members can buy one Epic Fresh Guac Burrito and get another free on Tuesday and Wednesday through the app or the Del Taco website.

Paris Baguette’s PB Rewards members get a free pastry with any beverage purchase on Tuesday.

Marco’s Pizza is offering $3 off any size specialty pizza with the code LUCKY.

Applebee’s is serving Emerald Escape or Pricklycane cocktails for $6 each, with a $4 Parade Punch Mocktail also available.

Ruby Tuesday is offering $5.99 burgers and sandwiches with fries, $3 American draft beer, $5 Guinness Draught and $5 Jameson shots.

Limited-time menu items

McDonald’s Shamrock Shake — made with minty green syrup, vanilla soft-serve and whipped topping — returned to the menu on Feb. 17 for a limited time, along with the Oreo Shamrock McFlurry. Both are expected to depart soon after St. Patrick’s Day.

Dairy Queen is offering two limited-time St. Patrick’s Day treats: the Mint Crunchin’ Cookie Dipped Cone and the Mint Oreo Blizzard Treat.

Sonic Drive-In’s Sour Shamrock Slush features a tangy green apple base with sour popping candies, a tart rainbow candy strip and whipped cream.
