Actress Sydney Sweeney may be facing legal trouble after climbing the Hollywood sign and posting a video of herself hanging bras from her new (and yet to be released) lingerie line, according to multiple news outlets.
FilmLA, a public relations nonprofit that coordinates on-location filming in the Los Angeles area, said it had given “The Housemaid” star permission to film at the Hollywood sign but not to touch or climb the monument, TMZ reported.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce also said Ms. Sweeney was not authorized to climb the sign, and chamber CEO Steve Nissen said the group is looking into how and who allowed her and her crew access to the sign, KTLA reported.
Legally, Ms. Sweeney was not permitted to shoot or use the sign for her brand without prior approval from the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, the group said.
Ms. Sweeney’s bra fiasco could result in criminal trespass or vandalism charges, TMZ reported.
