You will be happy to find out that almost 20 percent of Democrats would be very unhappy if the military staged a coup to replace Donald Trump. Another 10 percent would have mixed feelings about it, meaning that nearly 30 percent would be at least a bit bothered by the idea.
The rest would either be fine with it or downright happy.

It’s good to know that the Democrats are still committed to saving democracy itself. I was worried there for a minute that Democrats were a bunch of communist revolutionaries.
And in a bit of really good news, 43 percent of Democrats tell pollsters that they would be at least a little unhappy if Donald Trump were assassinated, so only 57 percent of them would be ecstatic, happy, or indifferent to the use of political violence to eliminate a political opponent.
See? Compassion is not dead. Kindness still rules! We can all get along.
All this good news comes straight from a poll commissioned by the left-leaning Liberal Currents magazine, which sought to measure the mood of the Democratic electorate. And what they found is that a huge chunk of the Democrats’ voting base is a bunch of violent communists who want to pack the Supreme Court, throw everybody in the Trump administration in jail, and, in many cases, use force to get rid of Donald Trump.
And no, the cohort of voters they polled was not just the extremists. The top candidates they chose as their potential Democrat Party nominees were Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, and Gavin Newsom. AOC wasn’t in the top 5. Mark Kelly, the Arizona senator, had more supporters in the poll than she did.
So spare me the claim that this was a bad sample that only polled the radical Democrats. The truth is, almost every Democrat IS a radical these days. The majority would be happy to toss out our Constitution, send the military in to take over the government, or even shoot the President of the United States.
Of all the ways to dispose of Donald Trump, the only method with a net negative was assassination, but even there only a third would be very unhappy about it. I can kinda/sorta get the “somewhat unhappy” side if I squint properly and empathize with them — they want Trump gone, but don’t like the method. I can sorta see that thinking, even if I disagree with the balance. It’s not pure evil.
But for the most part, the Democrats have embraced pure evil. And revolution, or at least outright coups. A net 32 percent would approve of a MILITARY COUP to replace a democratically elected President of the United States in order to “safeguard the Constitution.”
That is one scary group of people, I tell you. Maybe we should suggest that they secede from the Union and start their own little Cuban regime. I’m sure they would be happy with it. They get the cities; we get the industrial heartland, the farmlands, and the sane people.
Reading the poll results is depressing, needless to say. By an overwhelming margin, Democrats love the DSA and want government to nationalize entire industries. Although they mainly want people to run their own restaurants, so I guess that’s OK. It’s only the core economic functions they want the government to take over. I think that’s how they did it in Cuba and Venezuela, too.
Of course, 40 percent want restaurants nationalized too, so don’t be too happy about this endorsement of free enterprise.
The greatest irony, if you can find one in the poll, is that these same people despise politicians and government. 71 percent say they don’t trust the government, but they want it to run everything. Except restaurants. Don’t forget, a minority want the government to run restaurants, so freedom is still alive among Democrats.
If you had any hope that the Democratic base was moving back to the center on big issues such as immigration or gender ideology, the poll should disabuse you of that illusion. They trust immigrants more than their fellow Americans and want open borders to improve the country, and still love putting kids’ genitals under the knife.
For a group of people who like to wax poetic about saving democracy, their understanding of what that means seems to be a bit hazy. Perhaps it is due to the fact that they believe what they were taught in the government-run schools, which can’t seem to teach how to read and write, but sure do a good job pounding communist ideology into their heads.
At an intellectual level, most of us understand that the Democrats have gone off the rails and have become politically and emotionally deranged. How could we not, given the fact that they clap like seals when Antifa defends illegal immigrant murderers and pedophiles?
But I’m not certain that we fully understand how deranged. It’s one thing to support the idea of street protests and associate them, wrongly, with Civil Rights marches; it’s quite another to openly hanker for a military coup.
Yet that is where the Democrats are. Assassination porn and musing about the establishment of a Woke Junta.
