Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce set to marry Friday at Madison Square Garden

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will celebrate their wedding at Madison Square Garden on Friday night, according to a law enforcement official briefed on the security plans and who was not authorized to discuss the matter publicly.

The festivities are expected to begin with a smaller rehearsal dinner Thursday night, followed by the larger celebration Friday. Two law enforcement sources told CBS News the rehearsal dinner will draw roughly 100 guests to the arena’s Infosys Theater, while the main event Friday could accommodate around 1,000 people and run until 4 a.m.

Speculation about the pop star and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s nuptials has built for weeks, fueled by unconfirmed reports that the couple would marry over the July Fourth holiday weekend. Crews have been spotted unloading equipment from trucks outside the Manhattan arena in recent days, and a large carpet was briefly unveiled outside one entrance before being removed.

At a Wednesday press conference, New York Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch confirmed the department was tracking an event planned for Friday at the arena, saying the NYPD would have “a detail in place,” though she declined to elaborate further.

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani likewise confirmed that a permit had been filed for a large event at the venue.

“We are fully prepared,” he said, adding there wasn’t anything else to share.

Neither Ms. Swift nor Mr. Kelce has publicly confirmed the wedding.
