Bible morals being taught in public schools

A new survey shows parents, by a vast majority, would like to see morals and character as a course to be taught to their children during the school day. And LifeWise Academy is responding, advancing on a curriculum that was already approved by the courts years ago.

“It really comes down to worldview,” said Joel Penton, CEO of LifeWise Academy, an organization that has for years been bringing Bible studies to public school classrooms around the nation, with a focus on teaching morals and values to youth.

The survey of 1,000 public school parents and 200 public school educators came by way of Scott Rasmussen’s RMG Research and found almost 90% of parents and their teachers would welcome instruction on moral and character development in their classrooms — and nearly the same almost 90% would embrace off-campus Bible-based character development courses during the school day.

And those schools that do accept the curriculum find students attend classes more regularly, are better behaved and even get better grades.
