Eric Swalwell is, and always has been, a scumbag. Everybody knew it. The media knew it. His colleagues knew it. Anybody who ever heard of Fang-Fang knew it.
But until he became the Democratic Party frontrunner in the race for California governor—but third behind two Republicans in the jungle primary—Swalwell was promoted as a brave truth-teller and moral paragon because he was also an exceptionally good liar and willing to say anything bad about Donald Trump.
Democrats love to posture, claiming to care deeply about women, and whenever a Republican is accused, however ridiculously, of improper behavior, we hear constant cries of “believe all women.”

Swalwell was, of course, among the most vociferous of the “believe all women” crowd until he was, himself, accused. Now he is sending “cease and desist” letters to his own accusers.

Now the entire Democratic Party establishment is calling on Swalwell to drop out of the governor’s race because women must be believed, and also because they know that the allegations are at least mostly true. No doubt on that list of sexual harassment settlements paid by taxpayers and kept hidden from us is his name.

Of course, none of the victims can remember any details, just that it happened. The exact Blasey-Ford and E. Jean Carrol playbook.
Within an hour, the victim is being interviewed on @CNN.The email goes out.
Almost immediately, the teacher’s union is condemning him and Schumer, Pelosi, Jeffries and every other Democrat on Twitter is calling for him to drop out of the race.
Keep in mind, when Tara Reade accused Biden of forcibly sexually abusing her, they called her a liar and nobody called for him to drop out.
This is all a coordinated attack because they’ve seen the internal polling that Steve Hilton may actually win this thing and they are sacrificing Swalwell because liberal idiots like him are a dime a dozen.
But, somehow, none of these same people is calling for his resignation from Congress. His leaving the governor’s race is useful because, in order for a Democrat to get on the ballot in November, a Democrat must leave the race. It is a jungle primary, so having two Republicans top the list leaves only Republicans on the ballot, and they can’t have that.
His leaving Congress right now would be harmful, so the man whose character makes him ineligible to be governor is perfectly suited to Congress in their eyes.

Swalwell was her useful partisan idiot who would go on TV and accuse Trump of being an agent of Putin every week. Pelosi enabled Swalwell and everything he has done.
Nancy Pelosi and her Democratic Party put Eric Swalwell on the Intelligence Committee after he had an affair with a Chinese spy. Because his perch on the Intelligence Committee gave him (false) credibility in making his Russia Collusion accusations. They didn’t care a whit about national security because they wanted to get Trump.
Now they are tossing Swalwell over the side because he threatens their power in California, and for some reason, they would be OK with Katie Porter as governor. Porter, you see, may be an awful person, but she is a Democrat. Steyer would be great too, because he has more money than God, and gazillionaires are evil unless they are Democrats.
Democrats are vacuuming up money from Neville Singham, who is a billionaire who is literally a Chinese Communist Party ally, because the money comes to them. They pose next to Alex Soros and lick his boots, because the money comes to them so they can performatively denounce billionaires.
It’s all a scam. Eric Swalwell, if he plays ball and gets out of the governor’s race, will be welcomed back into the tribe and even be promoted on TV as a truth teller once again. Look at Jeffrey Toobin, who masturbated in front of his colleagues and is now a respected legal scholar once again, because he is useful.
Swalwell attorney says that Swalwell intends to continue his campaign for governor.
He suspects “political machinations behind the scenes” in the Democrat party as the reason why so many have pulled their support.

I say this is all hilarious because it couldn’t happen to a more deserving guy. Swalwell is a smear merchant himself, and one of the more prolific ones at that. He was a hero until he became a problem, and once he did, his team used their opposition research files against him.
It is impossible to overstate how vicious the Democrats are. Politics is not beanball, of course, and cheap shots are part of the game. But the Democrats take it to a different level. I still can’t believe they got away with the Larry Craig hit. I have no idea if Larry Craig is gay and trolls for sex or not, but the fact that they managed to turn a man spreading his legs a bit wide in a public toilet into the end of a political career is just amazing.
Would that have happened to a Democrat? I know it wouldn’t, because I have seen Democrats propositioning men in public saunas remain prominent and defended by their colleagues.
“How dare you attack a man for being gay?!”
How about Joe Biden showering with his teen daughter? Crickets. Bill Clinton? Hero!
L’Affaire Swalwell is such an obvious political hit, yet everybody is pretending that it is not, and that they are shocked by the allegations.
Do Democratic Party voters believe any of this? Signs say that many do. Whether that is due to willful ignorance or blindness to reality, I cannot say, but so far, this tactic works.
