The United States is dismantling Iran’s military machine in real time. We’ve nearly destroyed its ability to launch missiles and drones. Its navy is wiped out. Most of its military facilities are damaged or destroyed. The U.S. and Israel own the skies over Iran. Thousands of targets have been hit, and the regime’s defense industrial base is being systematically torn apart to make sure it can’t rearm later.
“The terrorist regime is being decimated militarily, and their dismal situation grows bleaker by the day – their only hope is to make a deal with President Trump’s administration and leave behind their nuclear ambitions for good,” White House spokesperson Anna Kelly told CNN. “Otherwise, they will be hit harder than they’ve ever been hit before.”
Yes, Iran still has some residual ability to launch missiles and drones — nobody’s claiming otherwise. But there’s no denying that its air and missile defense systems are heavily degraded. Its alleged new supreme leader hasn’t even made a public appearance yet. The regime is battered, leaderless in any visible sense, and running out of options.
So, naturally, Seth Moulton went on MSNOW to tell America that Trump is losing.
On Friday’s edition of “Deadline,” the Massachusetts congressman delivered what can only be described as an Olympic-level gaslighting. ”Iran is gaining leverage over us as this war goes on,” Moulton insisted. “Iran is winning the war.”
Moulton’s talking points to support this claim were, to put it mildly, weak. He cited the Strait of Hormuz closure and that we’ve had two downed aircraft as somehow proof that we’re losing the war?
He kept going. He argued that “They weren’t shooting missiles and drones at all our allies in the Middle East,” before the war. “They hadn’t destroyed hundreds of millions of dollars of U.S. military equipment. I mean, well over a billion.”
Yeah, that’s what happens in a war. At least we didn’t just hand them billions of dollars’ worth of our military equipment, as Joe Biden did. Seriously, Moulton’s take is so detached from military reality that it deserves its own category. It sounds more as if he’s openly rooting for Iran to win the war. I suspect most Democrats in Congress are, to be honest.

Iran doesn’t even have a navy anymore. We’ve destroyed over a hundred Iranian warships. Its production capacity is cratered. Its missile defenses are shredded. The regime can’t show its new leader to the world. And Moulton has essentially declared victory for the mullahs.
It’s worth asking how anyone could make this argument with a straight face. Here’s your answer: Moulton is running a primary challenge against Sen. Ed Markey. He’s pandering to Massachusetts Democratic primary voters. And so he’s spewing rhetoric that the far left in one of the bluest states in the country will just eat up.
Politics, not analysis, is driving the narrative here. Moulton isn’t a credible military critic in this moment — he’s a candidate trying to win the approval of the far left, and what better way to do that than to go on MSNOW and make outlandish claims that bear no resemblance to reality, because the network is just as committed to the anti-Trump narrative as the far left. And the far left wants to see Iran win the war because it hates Trump.
But facts remain stubborn things. Iran is being pounded. Its capabilities are collapsing. But Moulton and his fellow Democrats in Washington don’t want you to know that. They are actively rooting for Iran to win, because they want Trump to lose.
