Who Is Pam Bondi’s Replacement, Todd Blanche? – PJ Media

President Donald Trump has confirmed that he removed unpopular Attorney General Pam Bondi from her position and replaced her with Todd Blanche. Who is the new U.S. acting attorney general?

As a matter of fact, Blanche is not an appointment out of the blue. He was Bondi’s deputy, and so the natural — though possibly temporary — successor to her role. We can only hope he will be more hardcore than she was, because the majority of people working for the DOJ are the same who helped the Biden administration weaponize the government against numerous innocent Americans, so unless major reform is enacted, the next Democrat administration will simply pick up where the Biden administration left off. Trump did not criticize Bondi in his announcement, but obviously, he must have been dissatisfied with her performance in some way. Interestingly, Blanche was the official who, recently at CPAC, confirmed a purge of Trump-hating FBI agents.

Trump’s Truth Social post read, “Pam Bondi is a Great American Patriot and a loyal friend, who faithfully served as my Attorney General over the past year. Pam did a tremendous job overseeing a massive crackdown in Crime across our Country, with Murders plummeting to their lowest level since 1900. We love Pam, and she will be transitioning to a much needed and important new job in the private sector, to be announced at a date in the near future, and our Deputy Attorney General, and a very talented and respected Legal Mind, Todd Blanche, will step in to serve as Acting Attorney General. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

Notably, Trump did not say whether Blanche would be Bondi’s permanent replacement or simply temporary. But by calling Blanche the acting attorney general, the president indicated it could be the latter. Blanche issued a brief statement thanking Trump and promising, “We will continue backing the blue, enforcing the law, and doing everything in our power to keep America safe.”

Blanche is a former defense attorney for Trump, according to The Hill. He recently talked about the importance of cleaning house at the DOJ, as mentioned above. During the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Texas, Blanche stated, “There is not a single man or woman at the Department of Justice who had anything to do with those prosecutions” against Trump, due to firings.

Significantly, Blanche was hands-on last year in dealing with the Epstein Files investigation. That could be part of the reason he is at least temporarily replacing Bondi.

Bondi is the second major Trump administration official to get the sack in the last few weeks, and her firing is more expected, because while Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was doing pretty well overall, Bondi has attracted a great deal of criticism for her seeming unwillingness to go after high-profile criminals and to gut the entrenched and highly corrupt bureaucracy at the Justice Department. The Epstein Files debacle drew criticism to the Trump administration and the DOJ specifically, so it makes sense that Trump is set on a shake-up.
