2. Identify whether the decision to eject me was made or requested by WNBA personnel, Chicago Sky personnel, Wintrust Arena personnel, security personnel, or another individual or entity

3. Confirm whether Ms. Cloud’s conduct has been or will be reviewed under any League policy governing player interactions with fans, including rules governing altercations that require player suspension, and state what accountability, if any, she, her team, and management will face

4. Provide a full refund of the cost of my courtside tickets

5. Preserve all materials relating to this incident, including relevant video footage, incident or security reports, communications concerning my attendance or removal, communications referring to my WNBA Draft announcement or public advocacy for women’s sports, and any applicable policies or event-day directives.”

Freedom is giving them 5 business days to respond.

Ed: This is a “get ready for a litigation enema” warning shot. Enes Kanter Freedom is not playing around, but to the extent that he plays, he’ll play a hell of a lot better than the WNBA can. He could have a defamation case after being called a “threat” by league officials, which is what I presume this will be the prelude to filing.

Essentially Sports: The Chicago Sky wanted to shut down the latest controversy surrounding former NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom following his ejection from their arena. However, according to WNBA analyst Jemele Hill, the franchise may have inadvertently done the opposite.

During a recent segment on the Flagrant and Funny podcast, Hill and co-host Cari Champion discussed the recent announcement from the Chicago Sky, which banned Freedom from the Wintrust Arena following his heated interaction with guard Natasha Cloud during the game against the Indiana Fever on August 23. There, Hill expressed that banning Freedom might not have been the right move.

“I don’t think he should have been banned, because if you ban him, Cari, it’s going to feed exactly what he wants, which is more attention,” she said in a clip posted to Instagram.





“This is what you don’t want to do, you don’t want to make him a martyr for those people… Now we got to hear this s*** another week. You have to starve attention w***** from the thing they want, which is the attention. And while I definitely understand why T-Cloud checked him, there was a part of me that was like, ‘Damn.’ But now he’s gonna get that thing that he was hoping. He was praying to get this reaction.”

Ed: Welcome to the Streisand Effect. You’d think a league based on a sport that requires strategic thinking would have thought about that, but the WNBA isn’t a sports league as much as it is a grievance group with calisthenics. Almost the entire league, from executives to managers to players, can’t handle checkers even while everyone else is playing chess. The fact that Jemele Hill has to explain this to the soooooper geeeeeeniuses at the WNBA is hilarious.

Ed: Er, about that. The NBA will be on the hook for this, since the WNBA loses money every season, but don’t bet on Freedom agreeing to a settlement. He’s itching for a fight, and he’s likely got plenty of resources to take everyone involved to trial.

Free Beacon: More than a dozen donors to the Hitler-praising, neo-Nazi congressional campaign of Dan Bilzerian have also contributed to Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed—in many cases spreading thousands of dollars between the two candidates, the Washington Free Beacon found.

Bilzerian, a far-right social media influencer with a trust fund, and El-Sayed, a far-left epidemiologist, have no policy overlap except strong opposition to AIPAC and Israel, but their donors include a man who has equated Zionism to Nazism and a Texas subprime auto loan entrepreneur who also threw his weight behind Israel-bashing Republicans like Marjorie Taylor Greene and Thomas Massie.

The overlapping donor list suggests that El-Sayed’s virulently anti-Israel rhetoric appeals to the kind of Muslim-American donors who also buy into Bilzerian’s hateful Jew-baiting and offensive trolling.





The most significant Bilzerian and El-Sayed donor is Ibrahim Awad, who has given more than $19,500 between both candidates, Federal Election Commission records show. That haul included a $12,651.88 jumbo gift to the Bilzerian Victory Fund, a joint fundraising committee. The figure is above the legal limit and potentially a campaign finance violation if passed along to Bilzerian’s campaign committee.

Ed: The Horseshoe Theory lives, or as I call it, the Donut Theory … where all of the nuts meet on the far side of the loop. The good news is that this money source will be weak sauce against the RNC, NRSC, etc. However, it’s a very good indicator of who El-Sayed is, and especially what his supporters actually want.

Ed: El-Sayed literally platformed Piker as a campaign surrogate, as in “appeared on the dais and spoke at El-Sayed rallies” platforming. Attempting to disavow Piker on the grounds that he’s just a Twitch streamer now is completely dishonest. One could describe it as taqiyya, perhaps.

Battleswarmblog: Texas has declared the Muslim Brotherhood (and CAIR) as terrorist organizations as well, as did Florida. And numerous nations (Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Syria, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE, Kenya, and even Russia have declared the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization.

Yet, somehow, the United States government under Donald Trump has not done so. Given the disastrous reign of Muslim Brotherhood President Mohammed Morsi in Egypt, where he tried to turn the nation into a one-party Islamic dictatorship, you would think America’s government would want to avoid the same mistake over here.

The First Amendment prevents government from barring people for running for office based on their religion or beliefs, no matter how criminally stupid. But nothing requires us to let a terrorist organization raise money to overthrow the Constitution and replace it with an Islamic dictatorship.





The Trump 47 administration should correct this oversight.

Ed: Congress should start asking Marco Rubio to explain this, but I suspect this has to do with Qatar and Turkey. Egypt’s Abdel Fattah al-Sisi would be delighted for us to make that designation, but neither Trump nor George W. Bush did so despite its nexus to terror. That tells me there were diplomatic considerations for this “oversight.” It would have been a lot easier to shut down El-Sayed’s campaign had we made that call after 9/11 and the Holy Land Foundation case.

Deroy Murdock at the Daily Signal: “Our goal is Communism,” David Jenkins, a member of DSA’s National Political Committee, said in 2023.

DSA member Cea Weaver is New York City’s tenant tsarina. She posted via X in December 2017, “Elect more communists.” The next year, she demanded: “Seize private property.”

Weaver’s boss is Mayor Zohran Mamdani. In his Jan. 1 inaugural address, he stated: “I was elected as a democratic socialist, and I will govern as a democratic socialist.” He told a DSA Zoom call in 2021: The “end goal” should be “seizing the means of production.” Mamdani also said, “The abolition of private property … is preferable to what is going on right now.” These comments loudly echo Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels’ cornerstone collectivist text “The Communist Manifesto.”

The magnificently named Darializa Avila Chevalier rode Mamdani’s endorsement all the way to the Democrat nomination for New York’s 13th Congressional District. 





“I’m a democratic socialist,” she boasted June 29 on MS Now. She also wants to “seize the means of production,” as she advised in a not-quite-deleted September 2019 X post. She confessed that December: “I forgot to get napkins so I just wiped my hand on the American flag.” In April 2020, she wrote: “Most of the theory I have read is communism but the pyromania associated with anarchism is very intriguing to me.” The Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine preserved 3,657 such messages that Chevalier thought she had erased.

Ed: As I have written before, this is not a Red Scare. It is a Code Red, and the threat is real.

Ed: It’s good to see that the Leave Us Alone Public Circus and Speaking Tour has transferred back to its origins. For how long? I suspect that Harry and Me-Again are just going back for more material so that they can come back and demand that people pay money to stop looking at them here later.

NY Post: Trump administration-funded researchers found a startling correlation between proponents of a transgender ideology and left-wing violence, according to a new report obtained by The Post and set to be released Wednesday.

The new study from researchers at Rutgers University, the right-leaning Manhattan Institute and Network Contagion Research Institute found that those normalizing transgender beliefs were more likely to be supportive of political violence.

Respondents were quizzed about six potential targets of political violence for the study: “killing Charlie Kirk, killing Donald Trump, killing Brian Thompson, arson of ICE buildings, damaging wealthy people’s property, and violence against police.”

“These findings suggest that gender ideology is associated with LWA [left-wing authoritarianism] and willingness to justify political violence,” stated the study, which titled “Where the Clinic Meets the Movement: Does Gender Ideology Arm Left-Wing Authoritarian Psychology?”





Ed: “Startling”? Hardly. There are more incidents than these, too, including multiple mass-shooting incidents targeting Christians and children. I’d find it startling if no correlation was noticed at this point.

Wesley Smith at NRO: The Ethicist column in the New York Times — a high-brow Dear Abby — has blessed adultery if one’s spouse is permanently incapacitated.

The questioner is a woman who married an older man. Her husband is now incapacitated by advancing Alzheimer’s. She is raising their child alone and has to earn a living. She still wants intimacy and asks whether it is okay for her to date. The Ethicist’s unethical response:

It’s obvious that you’ve had a lot to carry for a long time, not least caring for your husband as his Alzheimer’s has progressed. And you do owe him continued stewardship as his spouse. But given that his condition has evidently left him unable to sustain a reciprocal emotional and marital relationship, these obligations don’t mean you have to give up emotional and physical intimacy for the rest of his life. Fidelity, in a situation like yours, involves a duty of care, but with the effective loss of a companion, you’re entitled to care for yourself as well.

Really? “For better, for worse, in temporary sickness and in health, ’till Alzheimer’s do us part?” When the going gets tough, fidelity is an option?

Ed: I read this yesterday but didn’t have room for it then. My friend Wesley makes the impassioned argument that marriage must be sacramental rather than utilitarian, or it isn’t marriage at all. I agree, even though these heartbreaking situations should and do produce enormous sympathy for the spouses who must endure it. If vows mean anything, though, they mean it in fidelity during the “for poorer, for worse, in sickness” parts of the vows. It’s easy to remain faithful in the counterparts. Read it all; perhaps some may disagree.
