Teachers, Nurses, and Doctors Celebrate Violence – HotAir

Look, we all know that there are crazies in every walk of life. People who get wrapped up in a warped view of the world, and some of them just snap.

When John Hinckley, Jr. shot Ronald Reagan, the motive was that of a crazy man. Serial killers are fundamentally broken. School shooters, at least until the recent spate of trans shooters, had idiosyncratic motives.

But the recent spate of political violence doesn’t just feel different; it is different, because it comes out of an assassination culture that is being promoted by our political and cultural institutions, where it is now quite normal to discuss murdering people because they hold the “wrong” beliefs.

It’s not just the normal crazies out there fantasizing and committing violence. You have regular discussions in the mainstream media about when it is OK to kill somebody. Hasan Piker was laughing it up on a New York Times podcast, discussing the moral justification for Luigi Mangione to shoot somebody in the back.

This has given the people who are in the so-called “caring” professions permission to express their violent rage. We saw it after the Charlie Kirk assassination, where a substantial fraction of the videos you saw celebrating Kirk’s death were of teachers, doctors, and nurses.

As I scrolled my X feed this morning, I saw the same pattern emerge. Doctors, nurses, and school teachers all expressed their sadness or even rage that Trump was not murdered. These are the people to whom we entrust our health and our children, and they are genuine psychopaths.

That’s just a few of the teachers I have run across this morning, just as I did after the Charlie Kirk assassination. They live in a bubble where they feel entirely comfortable filming themselves discussing their violent fantasies, fully expecting not to get fired, but to get applause.

That’s all from a quick search on X.

The thing is, of course, that this all seems normal to them. They see their political leaders sitting down with Hasan Piker, talking about “eliminating” Trump, “Maximum Warfare” everywhere and all the time, and hear from academics, media figures, and entertainers that Trump is Hitler and should be dead.

Cole Allen fits perfectly into this environment. He spent his time on BlueSky, where this rhetoric is constant. We hear from the media all the time about the “hate” on X, but BlueSky exists almost solely to spread hate, and the reporters are all on BlueSky every day, seeing it and not covering it.

Cole Allen shared many of their own posts, saying deranged things about Trump.

When James Carville, a “respected” political analyst, posts torture fantasies about Trump, this is considered quite normal and acceptable. He is not banned from TV. Politicians can call ICE the “Gestapo” and get top billing on the Sunday shows.

It trickles down to the frontline workers in the “caring” professions, who seem to think it is their duty to do something about it. Which, I should say, is the intent.

It is not an exaggeration to say that some of these people want to kill us. We know that, because they say so. “Luigi Mangione is a morally good man.” Trump’s assassins need better aim. Charlie Kirk deserved it.

They believe that. They say so. And they are in our hospitals and our classrooms.

Go to any No Kings rally. You will find signs calling for Trump’s death.

Or…stand outside the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, and enjoy the signs.
