The efforts to which the transnational elites will go to deny that Islam is fundamentally incompatible with Western values still amaze me. 

There appear to be no limits among leftist activists, their leaders, and especially the political classes in Western countries. 





I’m not sure exactly when the effort began, but in my own memory, the 9/11 terrorist attack and its aftermath turned what was likely an effort already ongoing into a full court press by every Western government to completely normalize Islam and soften its image. 

Bush couldn’t get the phrase “Islam is the religion of peace” out of his mouth often enough. The effort began with good enough intentions—elites were worried that the plebs would erupt in indiscriminate violence, so he campaigned against a nonexistent threat.

Rather than recognizing that Muslims who come here weren’t integrating, Bush and then Obama opened the floodgates to Muslim immigration, and all the problems we now see started becoming serious. It wasn’t just foreigners traveling to the US to commit terrorism about whom we needed to worry, but the waves of immigrants who came following the biggest terrorist attack in our history. 

It wasn’t just in America, either. Refugees started flooding in, especially in Europe, whose countries opened the doors wide, and now the continent and the UK are becoming occupied territories. Angele Merkel, who was very Bush-like, imported millions of refugees who have gone on to commit horrific amounts of crime. 

The UK government goes to absurd lengths to pretend that Muslims are just like you and me. King Charles praises Islam to an extraordinary extent, and has even altered his title from “Defender of the Faith” to “protector of the space for faith within the multi-faith nation”. 

This, in a country with an actual state religion, of which Charles is the titular head. 





And so we now have awards handed to women in Niqabs, promoting them as champions of female empowerment. It’s a Babylon Bee headline sprung to life. A woman whom quite literally we cannot see due to the imposed “modesty” required by extremist Islamists who insist that seeing a woman’s hair might inspire uncontrollable lust in men is meant to lecture us about female empowerment. 

The award was presented at Westminster Palace. You can’t make it up. 

Khadija Patel from Bolton has received the British Citizen Award 2026 which was presented to her at a ceremony in the Palace of Westminster.

Khadija said: “This award is not just for me. It represents every volunteer, young person, woman, family and community member who has supported KRIMMZ Girls Youth Club.”

Known as “The People’s Honours” the British Citizen Award recognises individuals for exceptional acts of courage, selflessness, and sustained civic leadership across the UK. Recipients join a national Roll of Honour alongside just a handful of others selected from across the whole country each round.

This is particularly absurd because those same elites go to great lengths to argue that the most extreme views on gender are perfectly normal, and that anybody who doesn’t embrace them is a bigot. So much so that in places like Canada and Australia, you can be criminally prosecuted and fined for not embracing them. 





Which brings me to the second absurdity of the day I want to point out: the (not entirely unjustified) outrage the media elite are directing at Donald Trump for his dig at Kaitlan Collins, suggesting she looked like a man in drag. 

The outrage would be perfectly understandable if he said that about a “gender critical” woman, and the people who defend her would admit that men and women are of the opposite sex, but since none of them do and all of them will attack you for making the distinction, it’s not quite clear what they are objecting to. 

What was Trump’s offense, exactly? He didn’t compare Collins to a man, after all. We are reliably informed that Dylan Mulvaney is a strong, beautiful woman, and Trump was only acknowledging that both “she” and Collins shared that characteristic. 

Right? Right? 

The outrage is, of course, driven by the fact that everybody knows otherwise, and that is the real point of the joke—putting them all in a terrific moral bind. Either their outrage at the dig on Collins’ square jaw is justified because Dylan Mulvaney is not just as beautiful as Audrey Hepburn, after whom he models his “look,” or Trump is making a compliment to Collins. 

What can they say, other than express inarticulate rage? They can’t say why the joke is mean, although we all know it was meant to be. So they sputter. 





This reminds me of the internet wag who suggested that the new compliment conservatives should give to feminists and sympathizers of the “Healthy at any size” movement should be that they look as lovely as Lizzo.
