Never Trumper Shills for Hasan Piker AND Nick Fuentes – HotAir

Tim Miller is a peach.

Formerly Jeb! Bush’s communications director in the 2016 election, Miller, left the Republican Party out of disgust regarding how damaging he thought Trump was to democracy and to civility.

That’s why he is now doing full-throated defenses of Hasan Piker and Nick Fuentes. They, too, are defenders of democracy and civility, so why not?

Even his colleagues were a bit surprised when he started passionately defending Hasan Piker against criticisms that he is too extreme, although I can’t imagine why. Just like Miller’s other new buddy, Graham Platner of the Nazi tattoo, these men are all on a mission to save Democracy by embracing Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Luigi Mangione, political murder, and looting.

Nick Fuentes thinks that Hitler and Stalin are cool? What’s to complain about? How different are their political ideas than your standard Democratic Party candidate these days anyway?

Ah, defending decency. Donald Trump calls a reporter “piggy,” so why not start doing “unspeakable” things to go after his henchmen?

The Bulwark advertised itself as the place where conservatism would be conserved. The claim was that the writers represented the real conservative values, and Trump was an aberration.

One can argue about whether Trump was conservative or not—he certainly deviated from the Jeb!, George W., and Romney wings of the party—but as soon as these guys started writing, you could understand why voters tossed that wing aside.

Every accusation that all they wanted was power proved to be true. If “conservatism conserved” means endorsing Graham Platner, a self-described communist, Hasan Piker, who loves Hamas and is a literal communist, and Nick Fuentes, who is a troll who loves both Hitler and Stalin, then that is a movement I want nothing to do with.

I certainly think there is plenty of room for criticism of Trump from an ideological point of view, and many criticisms of his character ring true to me, although most are overblown.

But what can you say about a conservative who embraces communism? Who defends Nazism?

The same as I would say about the liberals who are rushing to do so. Not that I would go as far as Miller himself, doing unspeakable things to work out my personal issues, but let’s just say that contempt is too kind a word for how I feel about these moral degenerates.
