First Lady Melania Trump’s box will be filled with special guests during President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address Tuesday night.
Trump’s honored guests include men and women of the U.S. military and “everyday Americans who have benefited” from Trump’s policies, according to White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.
Pennsylvania wife and mother Megan Hemhauser is one such guest.
Hemhauser is a waitress and is “directly benefiting from the president’s ‘No Tax on Tips’ and ‘No Tax on Overtime’ policies,” which Trump signed into law through the “One Big Beautiful Bill” in July, Leavitt said on Fox News Tuesday morning.
The homeschooling mother of two spoke in December at a Pennsylvania Trump event celebrating the president’s policies.
“The No Tax on Tips is incredible. No Tax on Overtime is incredible for my husband, and it all comes back to our family. It saves us,” Hemhauser said.
Hemhauser and her husband “will be taking more than $5,000 this tax refund season,” according to Leavitt.
Erika Kirk, the CEO of Turning Point USA and widow of Charlie Kirk, will attend the State of the Union as a special guest of the president, The Daily Wire reports.
The central theme of Trump’s address is “America at 250: Strong, Prosperous and Respected,” the Wall Street Journal first reported. The speech, as prepared for delivery, will focus on Trump’s economic accomplishments for the nation.
Trump will honor a young woman during the address who has struggled with infertility but is benefiting from TrumpRx, according to Leavitt, adding that the woman is “saving $3,500 to purchase the drug for infertility to help create a beautiful family for her and her husband.”
TrumpRx is a website that aims to provide Americans with significantly discounted prescription drugs.
The first lady will also have two children seated with her as part of Mrs. Trump’s Foster the Future Initiative, which seeks to provide support for America’s foster children.
The parents of slain National Guard member Sarah Beckstrom, who was killed in Washington, D.C., one day before Thanksgiving, will also attend the State of the Union as special guests of the president, CBS News reports.

Additionally, Trump has invited 7-year-old Dalilah Coleman to the address, the White House tells CBS. Dalilah suffered critical injuries in 2024 after an illegal alien driving an 18-wheeler caused a multi-car collision, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
In addition to the special guests of the president and first lady, many members of Congress have also invited honored guests to attend Trump’s highly anticipated address in the U.S. Capitol.
Rep. Brian Mast, R-Fla., has invited Denise Waller, the wife of the late Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Deputy Ralph “Butch” Waller, as his guest to the State of the Union. Waller was struck and killed by a vehicle while on duty in 2024.
Trump honored Mrs. Waller with a Medal of Sacrifice in the Oval Office last year. Mast, who chairs the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, introduced the Medal of Sacrifice Act of 2025, which directs the president to honor family members of law enforcement officers and first responders killed in the line of duty.

Trump is expected to devote a portion of his speech to discussing his administration’s success at the southern border and the removal of criminal illegal aliens from the U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, has invited National Border Patrol Council President Paul Perez as his guest, as Cornyn and Perez have worked hand in hand to address the border crisis.
“I’m proud to welcome him to President Trump’s State of the Union address … as my guest and look forward to continuing our work together to bolster border security, counter the disgraceful demonization of law enforcement by the Left, and keep Americans safe,” Cornyn said in a statement announcing Perez as his guest.
