Trump hatred is the hammer, and liberals keep hitting their own heads with it in their zeal to pound MAGA and Trump into fleshy pancaked human beings.
CNN just made the claim that political violence is basically a right-wing tactic–a fascinating claim that stands up to scrutiny as well as the “Moon is made of green cheese” theory. As the left cheers on the assassination of innocents, laments the failure of two assassins to kill Donald Trump, and contributes through ActBlue to nonprofits planning and executing a terrorist campaign against Elon Musk, they turn around and blame the Right for making them do it.
Lemon goes on to blame Trump and Republicans for the attack against Shapiro despite the suspect having a history of Trump hate and mental illness:

Admittedly, citing Don Lemon is sort of scraping the bottom of the barrel when criticizing the left. But he still qualifies as a lefty with a following, and CNN platformed as one of their prime talents for 17 years.

I have yet to see anybody, left or right, applaud the socialist who tried to kill Governor Shapiro and his family in the most gruesome way. On the right I can confidently say that this is because nobody on the right remotely approves of burning people alive. I think the same is true for all centrists and even most center-left Democrats.
But I can also confidently say that we would be seeing a flood of laments that the mentally deranged man of the left who did this evil act failed if the target had been Ron DeSantis.

How do I know this? It’s not that I hate leftists, although I do, frankly. It’s that they lament every time a Republican escapes an attempt on their lives. It’s because prominent leftists get wild applause when they muse about murdering Donald Trump.

In a recent Rutgers study, 55% of liberals told researchers–admitted aloud!–that killing President Trump would be justified. Luigi Mangione has a fan base large enough that they have spokesmen in Congress, in the media, and laughing along with CNN reporters about how dreamy and moral the assassin of an innocent man they dislike is.

Liberals really do believe that they are in the right here–on the side of the angels. If only conservatives agreed to do every single thing liberals demand with enthusiasm–become Stepford wives–they wouldn’t have to draw swastikas on our stuff, take over our buildings, shoot at our political leaders, and burn down our cities.
It really is the conservatives’ fault.
The irony is thick, if not amusing. There is literally no more armed population in world history than modern American conservatives. There are over 120 firearms held by civilians for every 100 citizens of the country, most held by conservative-leaning people. The US military has under 5 million firearms, while civilians hold close to 400 million in the US.
In other words, if conservatives were interested in political violence, they wouldn’t be exactly incapable of putting up a fight.
But the one conservative-led “riot” about which we have been lectured for years now–absurdly called an “insurrection” designed to take over the United States government–was without weapons? Does anybody believe that a large group of conservatives would try to take over the US government without guns?
The January 6th riot was shameful, but it was far less violent than a typical weekend night in Chicago and is a pimple on a gnat’s butt compared to the months of George Floyd riots that left bodies and burned-out cities in their wake.
