Elijah Blue Allman, son of pop icon Cher, was arrested Sunday in New Hampshire, where police said he broke into a home and was found sitting in the living room smoking a cigarette, multiple news outlets report.
A woman called 911 to report an intruder in her home while hiding in a closet, police said.
Mr. Allman, 56, said he had the homeowner’s permission to enter, but both the woman and her husband told police they had given no such permission.
This is Mr. Allman’s second arrest in the state in three days. On Friday, he was charged with causing a disturbance at St. Paul’s, a boarding school in Concord, where he had been released on bail.
He is charged with burglary, two counts of criminal mischief and breach of bail. He is being held in jail.
Mr. Allman is the son of Cher and Gregg Allman of the Allman Brothers Band, who died in 2017. Cher and Allman divorced in 1979.
