Donald Trump’s salvo at Nikki Haley donors: Forget joining MAGA

Former President Donald Trump issued a warning that any donors who contribute to Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley’s campaign won’t be allowed to join the “MAGA camp” if he wins the nomination.

“When I ran for Office and won, I noticed that the losing Candidate’s ‘Donors’ would immediately come to me, and want to ‘help out.’ This is standard in Politics, but no longer with me,” he wrote in a Truth Social post Wednesday. “Anybody that makes a ‘Contribution’ to Birdbrain, from this moment forth, will be permanently barred from the MAGA [Make America Great Again] camp. We don’t want them, and will not accept them, because we Put America First, and ALWAYS WILL!”

He said Ms. Haley is “very bad for the Republican Party” and for the country. He railed against her in his post, calling her “average at best.”

“Her False Statements, Derogatory Comments, and Humiliating Public Loss, is demeaning to True American Patriots,” he said. “Her anger should be aimed at her Third Rate Political Consultants and, more importantly, Crooked Joe Biden and those that are destroying our Country — NOT THE PEOPLE WHO WILL SAVE IT.”

Mr. Trump beat the former South Carolina governor in the New Hampshire primary Tuesday by 11 points. He also won the Iowa caucuses earlier this month, with Ms. Haley placing third behind Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who suspended his campaign.

Ms. Haley has said she will not be dropping out of the race. The two GOP hopefuls’ next big battle is Feb. 24 in South Carolina, home to the former U.N. ambassador.
