Taylor Swift part of a ‘covert government effort’ to reelect Joe Biden, 1 in 5 Americans think

Nearly one in five Americans can’t shake off the feeling that there’s more to Taylor Swift’s love story than meets the eye.

She is the most sought-after endorsement in American culture now, thus many think there has to be something more to the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl success than Travis Kelce or Patrick Mahomes.

According to a poll released Wednesday by Monmouth University, 18% of Americans believe a “covert government effort” is trying to get Ms. Swift to help President Biden win the 2024 election.

According to Monmouth, 73% do not think such a government operation exists, while 9% said they didn’t know.

Monmouth didn’t ask about specifics, but the general theory is that the NFL, known for backing left-leaning social causes, rigged the playoffs so that the Chiefs would win the Super Bowl.

This would lead to a White House visit where Ms. Swift, tagging along on the arm of all-pro boyfriend Mr. Kelce, could make a big event of endorsing Mr. Biden.

Without going into romantic intrigue, the New York Times and other outlets have reported that the Biden team is trying to get Ms. Swift to endorse him, to help stem the president’s slumping support among younger voters.

Mr. Biden trolled (and thus probably stoked) the conspiracy theorists after Sunday’s game, a thrilling overtime victory for the Chiefs over the San Francisco 49ers.

“Just like we drew it up,” he posted on X, using a “Dark Brandon” meme of himself with laser eyes.

Ms. Swift endorsed Mr. Biden in the 2020 election, long before she ever met Mr. Kelce.

Although that year, the Super Bowl was won by the Chiefs. And they defeated the 49ers.
