Washington Times national security correspondent Bill Gertz just returned from a 14-hour flight from South Korea to Andrews Air Force Base, finishing up a nine-day visit to the region with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
During the trip, he traveled to Japan, Malaysia for the ASEAN Defense Ministers meeting, then to Vietnam, where POWs were discussed and then on to South Korea where the secretary held defense consultative talks with South Korean and U.S. military leaders.
It was his second trip this year traveling with the defense secretary.
On the way back, aboard an E4B nuclear command post plane, Bill was able to sit through an in-flight refueling and see some of our amazing airmen as they managed to refill this large Boeing, militarized Boeing 747 aircraft with three refueling tankers.
