Ford Motor has issued a recall of 42,652 Escape and Bronco sports utility vehicles over a malfunction in the fuel injectors.
According to the company, certain models of the 2022 Escape and 2022-23 Bronco have injectors that may crack and cause fires.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Ford will issue an over-the-air software update to the recalled vehicles to add fuel injector leak detection. Meanwhile, owners are advised to take their vehicles to a dealership for a new drainage tube.
The recall follows a similar recall from 2022 when Ford recalled over 600,000 of its Bronco and Escape SUVs over fuel injector problems.
