Dems will target your family once midterms are over

Veteran Democratic strategist James Carville predicted Tuesday that Democrats will launch sweeping investigations into President Trump, his children and their spouses if the party retakes Congress in the November midterms — warning the political fallout will feel like getting “punched in the mouth by Mike Tyson.”

“Let’s talk about your future, your post-November future,” Mr. Carville said in a video, addressing Mr. Trump directly. “The Democrats are going to investigate you to no end.”

“They’re going to start going after you. Then they’re going to start figuring out where all the money stolen is,” he continued. “Then they’re going to go after your stupid jacka— kids and their spouses and all the other bulls—- that you see, and they’re going to investigate the s—- out of you.”

In the Politicon video, Mr. Carville also set his sights on Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, predicting that Republican senators, whom he claimed “can’t stand” the president, will remain on the sidelines while both men face congressional scrutiny. “I don’t think Pete Hegseth realizes how much he’s despised in those five rings,” Mr. Carville said, referring to the Pentagon.

Mr. Carville further raised the specter of international legal jeopardy over the ongoing U.S. military campaign in Iran, warning Mr. Trump that he is “getting really, really, really close to war crimes here.” He said Democrats in 2028 would refuse to shield Trump from any indictment issued by courts at The Hague.

The 81-year-old strategist has repeatedly floated the theory that Mr. Trump, facing a collapse in political power after November, will choose to resign and have Vice President J.D. Vance pardon him on the way out — though he noted a Vance pardon would not cover all of Mr. Trump’s alleged offenses.

“I got news for you, dude. You’re done,” Mr. Carville said. “And we’re going to enjoy watching your downfall.”

A White House spokesman pushed back sharply when contacted by Fox News Digital, calling Mr. Carville “a stone-cold loser who clearly suffers from a severe and debilitating case of Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

Mr. Carville’s track record of predictions has drawn scrutiny in recent years. Ahead of the 2024 presidential election, he wrote a New York Times column titled “Three Reasons I’m Certain Kamala Harris Will Win” — a race Mr. Trump won decisively. When Mr. Trump began his second term, Mr. Carville also predicted his administration would collapse within 30 days.

Despite those misses, Mr. Carville has remained bullish on Democratic prospects in 2026, previously telling CNN that the Republican tax and spending bill would be a “mass extinction event” for the GOP and predicting Democrats would pick up more than 40 House seats in November.
