Authorities said two people were wounded in a shooting Thursday at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, before the gunman was killed.
A university alert said the assailant began opening fire around 10:50 a.m. in an academic building.
“O.D.U. Urgent Alert: Active threat reported at Constant Hall,” the alert reads. “Follow Run-Hide-Fight protocols. Emergency personnel responding. Avoid area.”
School officials said the injured victims were rushed to a hospital. No details have been released about how the gunman was killed.
