Have they lost their minds?
Seriously…is Scott Jennings being on air an excuse for everybody else to let their freak flag fly?
That’s my theory. Everybody feels emboldened to spew outright lies 24/7 because the network can claim it is presenting “both sides” of an issue.
In the span of 48 hours, the CNN account, a CNN anchor, and a CNN senior reporter have all falsely suggested the terror attack last weekend was targeting Mamdani.
The first two have been corrected, but a bad look when reps for a news network keep repeating same false claim. pic.twitter.com/PnDJHbwLms

By now, you know about the Abby Phillip fiasco, in which she claimed that Zohran Mamdani was under attack by, it was implied, Jake Lang. She has now given TWO versions of an apology that don’t quite match; the latter finally got the story mostly right.
TUNE IN: Joe Borelli pushes back at Ana Navarro.pic.twitter.com/t255cGOdGu
Navarro: “What I find ironic is, so supposedly some of these comments are as a result of the attempt against Mayor Mamdani in New York who was raised Muslim…”
Borelli: “To be clear, the attack wasn’t on…

What you probably don’t know is that a CNN political correspondent kept up the fiction on X, claiming that Zohran Mamdani was a victim of political violence, just like Josh Shapiro. This occurred AFTER the Abby Phillip controversy blew up.

“Fellow target of political violence.” FFS, these were terrorists who built several bombs—more were discovered in Pennsylvania, where they live—to kill Jake Lang and his fellow demonstrators, hoping to have a victim count higher than the Boston Marathon bombings.
CNN’s Abby Phillip claims that the attempted NYC bombing was “an attempted terror attack against New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani.”

Previous to that, CNN did a glowing profile of the two ISIS-linked bombers, making it sound like they were just out on a tourist jaunt on a beautiful day, and just couldn’t help themselves when they were incited by horrific Islamophobic Jake Lang.
Whenever the topic is something the media doesn’t like, journalists all become creative writing professors. The press has done everything possible to obfuscate the facts of this story—and it has done so deliberately. pic.twitter.com/YnwnyRwXLe

CNN was forced to apologize and stealth-edit the story because the outrage was so intense.
The latest outrage concerns the hoax controversy surrounding Pete Hegseth’s feeding the troops steak and lobster before going into combat, which has been a tradition for decades, going back to at least World War II.
WATCH: @PaulBegala tried to suggest the money spent by DoW on steak and lobster was proof evident of corruption, and that these premium foods were NOT, in fact, consumed by forward-deployed troops. @ScottJenningsKY is rightly astounded.

WATCH: @PaulBegala tried to suggest the money spent by DoW on steak and lobster was proof evident of corruption, and that these premium foods were NOT, in fact, consumed by forward-deployed troops. @ScottJenningsKY is rightly astounded.
PAUL BEGALA: (Pete Hegseth is) a beautiful little snowflake. No, he’s gorgeous. And we all just love him. And I’m so proud that he’s so pretty. That’s not important. You know what’s important? He has spent $15 million in one month for ribeye steaks, 6.9 million for lobster tail…
SCOTT JENNINGS: Oh, you’re not serious. Come on.
BEGALA: $225 million for- for furniture. He spent more in the month of September than most countries on Earth spent in their defense.
JENNINGS: Oh, do you believe…
BEGALA: All for himself. Lobster tails?
JENNINGS: Do you believe…
BEGALA: While our troops are eating MREs?
JENNINGS: No, no, no, no, no.
BEGALA: Lobster tails?
JENNINGS: Do you believe the Secretary of Defense is personally eating all the lobster? It’s for the troops!
BEGALA: Wait- he can’t eat 16- oh, what? Oh, really? The troops are getting lobster!
JENNINGS: Frequently, in theater.
BEGALA: Oh, my God.
JENNINGS: Troops who are going to war getting a great meal. You know that!
BEGALA: Oh my God. They aren’t getting lobster. You are so full of it!
KAITLAN COLLINS: I will say…
JENNINGS: You are gonna get killed over this. You are gonna get killed over this.
BEGALA: You are so full of it!
JENNINGS: Internet, do your thing!
Begala is mirroring a left-wing talking point that the media has been pushing out as if it were true: Pete Hegseth has been buying himself millions of dollars in ribeye and lobster as the troops eat MREs. Democrats kept pushing the narrative throughout the day, yesterday, and CNN brings on Paul Begala to ridicule the idea that the Pentagon actually feeds troops well when deployed.
Trump’s America: no money for school lunches or health care, but plenty of money for crab legs and ribeye for Hegseth https://t.co/abfCH9SScC

This is proof that Democrats have no idea about anything military-related, and that CNN exists for the sole purpose of spreading lies when it needs to back up the Democrats.
Leftists losing their minds over Pete Hegseth’s Pentagon dropping millions on steak, lobster, and fruit baskets for troops.
Meanwhile, Biden blew billions housing illegals in 4-star hotels and feeding them on our dime.

It takes about 5 seconds of checking to discover that the story was complete crap, but reporting facts is not the point. Telling lies, when it serves CNN’s and the Democrats’ narrative, is the point. If it weren’t, this wouldn’t keep happening, and at least a few of these “journalists” and commentators would be summarily fired.
“They spent $15 million on steak in one month? Who are you? Sterling, Cooper, Draper, and Price?” https://t.co/2MF0UOD5b8

Even Abby Phillip’s apology on air for lying—and that it what it was, because it is ridiculous to believe a “journalist” was ignorant of the basic facts of a major story about terrorism—was a rehash of the Tim Walz claim that he was a “knucklehead” when he made a series of false claims about his trips to China and his serving in Afghanistan.

Due to massive backlash, Abby Phillip issues on-air correction for falsely saying Mamdani was the target of the NYC bomb attack:
“I incorrectly said that the bombs that were thrown by ISIS inspired suspects in New York over the weekend were directed at Mayor Mamdani. They were not.”
“I failed to catch and correct that mistake in real time, and I take full responsibility for that.”
Phillip’s initial ‘correction’ on 𝕏 was slapped with a Community Note for being misleading.
CNN has been forced to issue multiple corrections on this story in the last two days, after repeatedly pushing the false narrative that Mamdani was the target of the attack.
“Failed to catch?” That’s basically admitting you have the IQ of 70 and the competence level of a toddler trying to do brain surgery.
“I didn’t lie; I am just incompetent.” What an excuse, and it is BS.
BINGO
Many such cases, these days. https://t.co/Qjcwl7es7U

Allowing one or two right-leaning analysts on a program or two is not an excuse to allow everybody else to lie, except apparently it is in CNN’s view.
“We allow ‘both sides’ to have their say.”
You mean the truth and the lies, with the lies repeated by the anchors? They call that journalism.

I want to correct something I posted earlier on X, which inaccurately implied that Mayor Mamdani was the target of political violence in last week’s ISIS inspired attempted terror attack in New York City. Law enforcement officials have said the two terror suspects threw improvised explosive devices at an anti-Islam demonstration and a counterprotest near Mayor Mamdani’s home Saturday, but did not say that he was the target. I apologize for the error and have deleted the original post.
The coverage of the terrorist attack over the weekend by all news outlets was horrific, placing the blame on Jake Lang for inciting Muslim extremists to attempt murder.
But CNN has consistently been the worst of the “mainstream” outlets, on this and many other issues. They are using the logic of abusers, commonly called “DARVO.
Deny. Attack. Reverse Victim and Offender.” First, they denied it was a big deal. Then they attacked Jake Lang for being the jerk who inspired the attempted bombers. And then, they reversed the victim and offender, making it seem like Lang was attacking Mamdani.
Mamdani is milking this misunderstanding for all it’s worth, implying that the cause of all this was “Islamophobia,” that he was the target, and that Muslims are in the crosshairs.
While Americans struggle with the high costs of living, Donald Trump’s Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth spent millions on lobster tails?…..
Talk about a waste of taxpayer dollars. pic.twitter.com/P6tAPm5b2Q

And outlets like CNN are helping him out, for the same reason they allowed Begala’s outrageous accusations. The Democrats want people to believe something, so CNN repeats it as truth.
It’s The Narrative™.
