Exiled son of late shah of Iran calls on Iranians to await his ‘final call’ amid war

The exiled son of the late shah of Iran is calling on the Iranian people to prepare and wait for his “final call,” saying they are at a decisive stage of their struggle against the Islamic regime in Tehran.

Reza Pahlavi posted Wednesday on X, urging his followers in Iran to secure “essential provisions” and remain inside their homes for their safety.

“Continue to strike and do not show up for work,” Mr. Pahlavi posted. “Continue your nightly chants to show your unity.”

He also issued a stern warning to Iran’s military and security forces.

“This is your last chance to break from the oppressive forces and join your people,” Mr. Pahlavi posted. “Await my final call.”

The U.S. is conducting joint airstrikes with Israel against the Islamic republic following the breakdown in nuclear negotiations in early February.

Pentagon officials confirmed Tuesday that the U.S. has struck more than 5,000 targets inside Iran since the start of the conflict on Feb. 28. The primary U.S. goal is the destruction of Iran’s missile stockpiles, defense industrial base and navy.
